Hogwarts' Outstanding Graduate, Matsuda Jinpei

[Free story. Nagging for updates and low ratings kill my motivation. I'll finish it when I feel like it.] You all speak in riddles at the distillery, while I raise the Savior in the wizarding world. We all have a bright future ahead of us. At seventeen, Jinpei Matsuda woke from a midnight dream and realized he seemed to have something called a past life. In the last five minutes of his life, twenty-six-year-old Officer Matsuda lit a cigarette. As the smoke curled into the air, he thought back to Kenji Hagiwara, who had occupied most of his life. Then, with the sound of an explosion, Jinpei Matsuda's vision went black. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself a ghost. So Jinpei Matsuda watched one good classmate die by suicide on a rooftop, and another good classmate die in a car accident, successfully achieving the hellish joke of 5-4=0. Pairings: HagiMatsu, Hiromitsu x Rei, no fixed order. Slow-burn romance. The first year of the Detective Conan timeline is 1994. The story spans a long period of time. Warnings: OOC, not a research-focused story, lots of author-created settings. Please don't nitpick the details. At its core, this is a story about saving one another. It's not Matsuda saving everyone; it's the police academy group saving one another. Lots of standout moments for Akai. Do not disparage the Silver Bullet team. No system or forum. All original characters are NPCs with their names omitted. No fake character deaths. Matsuda carries trauma from both his past life and the wizarding war in this life, along with a host of other psychological issues. Includes episodes where these issues flare up, illness, and injuries sustained in battle. A long, serious novel in seven volumes plus an afterword. Happy ending. The Detective Conan timeline has been heavily altered. The main Detective Conan plot is only briefly covered; the focus is on events before 1994. The Harry Potter next generation is not the focus of the whole story, and the main text goes up to 1994. Gryffindor Jinpei, Harry Potter Marauders' era, a younger contemporary of the Marauders. On his way through training, Yasusada's time converter malfunctioned, leaving him stranded in the modern world for over a century. During that time, he earned the title "Port Mafia Beheading Maniac," worked for the Japanese Public Security Bureau, became highly skilled with firearms, and even mastered basketball and tennis. Yasusada thought that with this bizarre collection of skills, he would be able to show off in front of Kiyomitsu. But when he finally made it back to the Honmaru, he found that the world had changed. The new Saniwa was ridiculously powerful, had mastered Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu, and wielded a reverse-blade sword with uncanny skill against the Time Retrograde Army. But wasn't that Himura Kenshin, the protagonist of Rurouni Kenshin? Wasn't that a fictional character? The Honmaru had landed in the modern world. This world had not only aliens and high technology, but also Vice Commander Hijikata, who was obsessed with mayonnaise, Commander Kondo, a gorilla stalker, and Captain Okita, a sadistic star prince. The Shinsengumi swords looked at this world's "Shinsengumi," questioning their very existence and nearly breaking down. Yasusada was even more distraught than they were. Isn't this the fictional work called Gintama? Gintoki patted him on the shoulder. "When things happen, don't panic, kid. Calm down. Actually, you're a fictional character from Touken Ranbu." Kagura: "Accept reality, kid. Actually, all your Okita Soji merch was bought in Bungo Stray Dogs and Detective Conan, aru." Yasusada: "..." Gintoki turned to the Saniwa. "Oh! You're the anti-shogunate patriot Himura Battosai, modeled after Kawakami Gensai!" The Shinsengumi: "What? Anti-shogunate patriot? Arrest him!" The Shinsengumi swords: "...No wonder the Saniwa's swordsmanship seemed so familiar." Kenshin, a mere wandering swordsman: Sitting quietly in the Honmaru, only for handcuffs to fall from the sky. Pairing: Kashuu Kiyomitsu x Yamatonokami Yasusada, no switching, no breaking them up. Yun Qi Song Feng Xiao This story was first published on April 19, 2023.
