Wen Sui used to really dislike Shen Jia.
Wen Sui was rebellious, pampered, precious, and arrogant. She hated how Shen Jia barged into her home without a word and disrupted her life. She hated how her mother compared her to Shen Jia all the time. She hated that Shen Jia really was better than her in every way. And she hated how Shen Jia, just because she was older, was always pretending to be in charge of her.
Shen Jia kept stopping Wen Sui from rebelling, time and time again.
A girl who had a crush on Wen Sui came to confess her feelings. Wen Sui was savoring the moment and just about to answer when that woman, who was more like a nanny than a sister, interrupted her again. Wen Sui finally couldn't take it anymore. She lashed out at Shen Jia, and the two of them ended up tangled together.
Wen Sui smiled and said, "You won't let me date? What should I do? You'll have to make it up to me, then."
Shen Jia blushed for her and took her seriously.
Later, Wen Sui went to study in England, turned cold and walked away without a backward glance, thinking it was payback against Shen Jia.
Five years later, the Wen family went bankrupt. Wen Sui was forced to return to the country and work under Shen Jia, who "kept giving her a hard time" at every turn.
Wen Sui fumed. "Shen Jia, are you getting back at me?"
Shen Jia: "Yeah."
And later...
Shen Jia: "Will Sui Sui behave from now on?"
Wen Sui hugged her. "I will..."
