A Dating Game with a Strange Doll

Ever since Dai Wen came back from a puppet exhibition last week, she'd felt that something around her was off.

When walking alone, she felt an inexplicable gaze watching her from behind, as if someone were following her. Even her cat would bristle at some spot outside the window.

Then one day, someone knocked on Dai Wen's door.

A handsome man stood outside, with sharp, well-defined features, red lips and white teeth, and especially bright eyes. But he never changed his expression, which became a little creepy if you stared for too long.

Dai Wen felt as though she'd seen him somewhere before.

The handsome man spoke to her without a hint of emotion. “Hello, Miss Dai Wen. My name is Mu Si. I've come to date you.”

Dai Wen: “Mu Si?”

Wait, she thought she remembered where she'd seen him.

At the puppet exhibition.

But he hadn't been one of the visitors. He'd been... a puppet on display behind the railing.

Dai Wen: “...What if I say no?”

The handsome puppet remained expressionless. “Then I'll keep pestering you forever.”

Dai Wen smiled and pulled out a lighter.

That night, Dai Wen felt a hand stroking her face... No, wait, it seemed like more than one hand. One was on her waist, another was stroking her calf, and one was...

Dai Wen opened her eyes in a fury: Where the ****** (profanity) are you touching!

It was bad enough that she'd opened her eyes. She nearly died on the spot from fright.

Several puppet people that looked almost human were clustered around her. Each had finely painted features, all different, but their eyes were equally hollow and lifeless. And in their glass eyes, there she was.

“It's okay. I made lots of copies of myself, so Dai Wen can burn them one at a time.”

[What's it like dating a puppet? Dai Wen: Rock hard]
