Tsukiyo Akiko is a homebody through and through, and she has severe social anxiety.
There's nothing wrong with a daily life spent with the world of anime and games.
But after she finally beat the high score in the ultimate challenge, surpassing the record of an account named " " that hadn't logged on in six months, her life suddenly felt dull.
"Then how about trying out a special game?"
She received a strange email like this one night at midnight.
After that, on the last weekend of every month, Tsukiyo Akiko would enter an escape game. But she wasn't a player. She was a key NPC in every game.
What kind of gaming experience was it to become someone else's plaything?
-
The eternal night of the imperial city, an endless labyrinth, a sealed academy, a forbidden forest...
Tsukiyo Akiko became a character in each story who yearned for freedom, and had to escape those worlds with the players' help to return to reality.
She could only escape with the players' help.
She had never expected to have to rely on other people.
But from what she saw of them later, it seemed they were only using one another to get what they wanted.
"Your Highness, would you like to join us at the festival outside the city?"
"You've always wanted to go, haven't you?"
On yet another night of the full moon, two cat-eyed brothers appeared on the balcony of her bedroom like fairies.
"My beautiful lord, I'm delighted to help you with your troubles."
"This was supposed to be your own problem... Anyway, we'll help."
Before entering the labyrinth, the reliable-looking black-haired priest kissed her fingertips, while the hand behind his back quietly pinched the blond mage's arm.
"Senpai, please let me join your group."
"If I could practice with you, senpai, I'm sure I'd improve quickly!"
When the knight academy sorted students into groups for the exam, she couldn't find a single word of refusal as she looked into those sky-blue and sun-warm orange eyes.
"Miss Witch, we hope you'll hear our request..."
"Big sis, I like you!"
Hmm... Judging by the shy reaction of the dark-blue-haired demon, his sweet-smiling fallen angel companion had apparently said something unexpected.
Tsukiyo Akiko, who had dabbled in all kinds of otome games, gradually decided that this kind of game was actually pretty good, too.
It would be even better if these players didn't show up in the real world.
Most importantly, don't come near her!
She has a stress-induced allergy to humans who aren't two-dimensional!
Reader's Guide:
1. The heroine is a fictional-character romantic. She's affectionate toward everyone in the games, but cold and indifferent outside them.
2. A crossover with Prince of Tennis, Haikyu!!, Kuroko's Basketball, Blue Lock, and No Game No Life. Other sports series characters may make appearances. You don't need to know the original works to enjoy it.
3. The escape game's rules will be explained in the story.
4. Told from the heroine's point of view, with a focus on character interactions. The game elements aren't hardcore.
5. A final love interest will be chosen (probably...)
Theme: Youth is limitless. Keep moving forward.
