The Grind Who Tops My Friends List

Asakura Uzuki has a crush on an online friend she's known for two years.

When she made her first decision about her life and took the first step toward her dream, that person was the first to show her support.

Even though they had no idea they were complimenting her.

After that, her messages became a regular part of their daily chats. They shared a hobby, and before long, they had gone from ordinary online friends to close confidants. She pinned their chat to the top of her list.

Apart from their real-life identities, they had exchanged nearly everything about themselves.

"The new junior who joined my club is someone I have a crush on. What should I do?"

After finishing her archiving work and finding no one else to confide in, Asakura Uzuki stopped two seniors who looked like they knew what they were doing and humbly asked for advice.

The pudding-headed cat really likes the new character in the game's DLC.

The character's abrupt introduction inevitably left the characterization incomplete, but the superb voice acting made up for it. The emotion in the voice alone was enough to draw him into the story.

So, for once, he left a complimentary comment.

Amid all the snide replies, one anonymous account thanked him.

And then there was the online friend he'd added because of the game, someone he'd never spoken to before, who started sending him little daily updates and greetings.

"Kuro, I don't think she realizes I figured it out ages ago..."

But what he thought would be a lovely offline meeting turned into an awkward moment between him and his childhood friend after she hurriedly asked for leave and went away.

"Only you get to hear my real voice confessing~"

"You've said that so many times already."

Reading Guide:

1. The pairing is Kenma the cat. They are in their final year of high school or older.

2. The female lead is older than Kenma and Futo, who were both born in 1995, by one year.

3. I couldn't find official details about the university Kenma attends, so I made them up. Let me know if there are official details.

4. A sweet girl and a cat's sugary little love story... probably.
