The Witch's Great Sky Is a Prince Charming

[The story began on February 4 of some year, I don't know which. I'll leave it like this for now.]

Veronica, known as the Witch of the Black Forest, hates interacting with humans.

Their false kindness and insatiable greed mean that every uninvited guest who steps into the forest wants to claim the witch's power for themselves.

After breaking the cage that held her prisoner, Veronica grew weary of everything.

So she hid the forest in the snow and wind, retreating to a crack in time that no one could enter, where she lived a quiet, solitary life.

That is, until she found a boy with the looks of a prince in the snow.

He was a fragment of someone's soul: pure, golden-orange, and entirely free of impurities, with a gentleness that could embrace everything.

She raised him, shared their memories with each other, and in the end watched him run toward the fate he could not escape.

"Veronica. That was the name my great-grandmother used."

"The Witch Queen gave it to me as a blessing."

The Black Forest's former mistress met the witch's own knight here.

And at last, she found a place to call home.

As for why she was willing to leave the forest?

Well, a witch has always been powerless to resist a good man's request.
