The Goofy CEO Has Awakened

A car accident awakened self-awareness in CEO Gu Ge, revealing that the world he lived in was actually a melodramatic danmei romance novel called Trapped in a Cage.

The protagonist's love interest, who would grow into a villain, was the Gu family's adopted son, Jiang An, his younger brother in name only.

Determined to keep his little brother from going astray and help him fall sweetly in love with the protagonist, Gu Ge had barely left the hospital when he prepared a welcome-home gift for the newly eighteen-year-old love interest.

"No matter where you are, I have to be able to reach you with one phone call."

Jiang An picked up the little bird-shaped smartwatch on the table. "..."

.

To make sure the future couple fell in love without a hitch, Gu Ge did everything himself.

To give the protagonist a boyfriend who would be a model of virtue, Gu Ge secretly disposed of the love letters in Jiang An's schoolbag.

To give the protagonist a strong husband, Gu Ge came home to cook for Jiang An no matter how busy he was.

To help the love interest triumph in business battles, Gu Ge stayed up all night making notes for him while Jiang An slept off a fever.

Jiang An noticed everything.

He worked up the courage to take Gu Ge's hand and gazed at him without blinking with his puppy eyes.

Gu Ge suddenly understood. "Finished your problems, right? I'll buy you some more right away."

Jiang An: "..."

"Young master, Xiao An has left. We found a photo of you as a child in his luggage."

Gu Ge paused. "Was it my favorite one?"

"Yes."

Gu Ge lowered his eyes dejectedly and slowly let out a breath. "...I knew it was him who stole it. Is this his revenge for making him do homework?"

Jiang An, eavesdropping outside the door: "???"
