Revising...
#Youth has no price tag. I'm already Mara-Struck, so cut me some slack!#
Fu Xu has one last wish: to spend his final years in peace, rather than fall Mara-Struck and endure every kind of torment.
Then one day, just as he feels he's about to die, Fu Xu suddenly gains the ability to see his own fate. When he sees how he's going to die, his vision goes black, and he nearly dies right then and there.
When he opens his eyes again, Fu Xu decides he won't keep working himself to the bone like before. He just wants to lie flat, accept his fate, and pass his position as Diviner on to the next person.
① "A shattered Diviner can't dream of The Plagues Author, right?"
As the Diviner, Fu Xu knows the history of the Xianzhou by heart. But compared with other Xianzhou natives, he doesn't feel much of anything toward that Aeon of Abundance anymore.
We're all as good as dead anyway, so why hate or love anyone?
That's what he thinks, but that very night he dreams of Yaoshi. Fu Xu: Huh?
He swears he has absolutely nothing to do with Yaoshi.
Meeting Yaoshi ahead of time practically evolves Fu Xu into a Mara-Struck person (not really).
Though he doesn't have any konjac jelly (no, wait), he's not Mara-Struck either. Somehow, Fu Xu feels like he's coming back to life with a bunch of little biu-biu sounds. Could this be the golden glow of a miracle (?)
"Reignbow Arbiter above, I'll just try worshipping Yaoshi of Abundance once, just once."
Reignbow Arbiter: For real? O.o (No.)
They say that the next morning, Jing Yuan, the future Divine General, found the Diviner, who had miraculously come back to life and was now in great spirits and excellent health, back at work.
What on earth happened? Tune in to the VCR to find out.
② "Forgive me, brother, for living this life on thin ice."
Good news: Fu Xu has retired.
Bad news: He's transferred to the Alchemy Commission.
Fu Xu never got the peaceful death he'd been expecting, so he stayed on at the Divination Commission, playing the serene Diviner. No, wait, serene my foot!
Fu Xu has nothing but sighs for his life these days, because the Divination Commission has more problems than anyone can count.
It's not just Fu Xuan who's about to reach her limit. Fu Xu doesn't want to keep going either. He's so busy, sob sob (that was out of character).
So he applied to General Jing Yuan for retirement. Then that old fox of a General Jing Yuan, a master schemer, transferred him to the Alchemy Commission next door to the place next door.
The General's exact words were, "I recall the Diviner is skilled in healing as well. And given the Diviner's broad knowledge and experience, you must know a great deal. If anything unexpected happens, we can consult you for help."
In short: We can't do without the Diviner as a useful tool (no).
Then, as soon as he arrives at the Alchemy Commission, a bunch of Disciples of Sanctus Medicus appear from who knows where and shout at him:
"We welcome the Lord Envoy!"
Fu Xu: Nice.
Cloud Knights, could you let me explain? I'm really not one of The Plagues Author's people!
③ "Come back to life, my beloved!"
"Run, my beloved!"
The love-hate story between a former Diviner and a certain Stellaron Hunter begins on a dark and windy night.
"Hi, beloved. Come give me a kiss."
A drunken, delirious Diviner runs into his close friend by chance. From the time he runs and the other chases, all the way from the past into the future, the only thing that may have changed is that our beloved former Diviner has become the one being chased.
Of course, by chased, I mean hunted down.
Oh, my beloved, stop chasing me! No matter how hard you try, you can't kill me anyway (?)
1. The protagonist is every Diviner except Fu Xuan, which means Fu Xu's busy life never changes. And his identity isn't limited to that role. The protagonist may have no memories of his past life, but the Aeons do, so he has plenty of connections with them.
2. Heavy out-of-character warning. The story likes to make jokes and references.
3. I'm terrible at titles, the blurb is hopeless, and updates are slow QwQ
Premise: My nemesis (lover) and I both have a bright future.
