The Dollhouse and the Little Craft Shop

Fang Zhiyuan lives in a small county town, where he tends a little vegetable garden and runs a little handicraft shop. He also has a group of little friends. They're called Peris. Peris are magical creatures. They're about the size of hamsters, just as fluffy, gentle and kind, and they can speak human languages. Peris are easy to please. To them, a tiny grain of rice is a delicious rice cake. Peris are wonderfully dexterous. They can make the most delicate handicrafts. After their home was destroyed, a family of Peris became homeless and were accidentally rescued by the kindhearted Fang Zhiyuan. From then on, Fang Zhiyuan and the family of four Peris began a leisurely life together. Fang Zhiyuan used grains of rice, fine noodles, and fresh vegetables from his garden to prepare exquisite meals for the family. He sewed them lovely little clothes from scraps of fabric, and gathered discarded wood and wire to make them beds, desks, wardrobes, and kitchen utensils. Fang Zhiyuan took the family for a ride around town in a remote-controlled car, feeling delighted all the while. Who could understand how happy I am, he thought. It's just like the wonderful days I spent playing with a dollhouse as a child. To repay him, the Peris used their delicate craftsmanship to make Fang Zhiyuan's little handicraft shop famous far and wide, bringing in a steady stream of customers. And Fang Zhiyuan helped the Peris build a miniature villa, a miniature farm, and a miniature town, until at last they had rebuilt a miniature home of their own. It's not just because Huo Yun is cool and handsome, but because he looks like Tan Chu's first love, who saved him when he was fifteen. Although Tan Chu is capable, socially savvy, and handsome, Huo Yun still asks the bureau chief to send him back after their first meeting. Huo Yun can tell Tan Chu has strong yang energy and can't see any supernatural beings at all. Huo Yun makes no effort to spare Tan Chu's feelings. Tan Chu is furious, and all the goodwill inspired by Huo Yun's looks vanishes on the spot. He insists on staying and takes charge of the Supernatural Crime Investigation Unit as its captain. As they work together, the two can't stand each other, yet somehow make an exceptionally smooth team. (Insert some very exciting paranormal cases.) After a few rounds of clashing, their attitudes gradually change. They grow closer and closer, and then they start doing, well, that thing. (Insert some romance.) Meanwhile, Tan Chu discovers a secret about Huo Yun that no one else knows. (Of course, it's not as simple as Huo Yun being Tan Chu's first love.)
