A Springtime Fantasy Poem

[Might write a full-length version later. Feel free to follow]

Mild-mannered voice actor vs. cool, aloof gaming newcomer

Her perspective: a secret crush comes true vs. his perspective: marriage first, love later

·

She accidentally went on a blind date with the person she'd secretly loved in high school, but he didn't remember her.

Well, after all these years, Lu Zhixiao had been no more than a passerby in Shen Che's life.

So what was wrong with using each other?

·

One day after they were married, Shen Che asked in a hoarse voice, "Xiaoxiao, were you secretly in love with me in high school?"

This time, Lu Zhixiao refused to avoid the question. "So, do you want a divorce?"

He suppressed his emotions. "What does that have to do with whether we get divorced?"

Her heart ached dully. "Didn't we say we were just partners? Every beginning has an ending."

It didn't matter even if it ended. She had dreamed countless dreams in the springtime, and even lain beside him, foolishly hoping it would last forever.

"You mean the kind of partners who've slept together?" Shen Che pressed her at every turn. "Don't even think about it. There's no way we're getting divorced."

We were hardly just partners anymore.

Reading guide:

1. Both leads are each other's first. The male lead had a girlfriend in high school, but they were together for less than a month and never did anything. Don't worry, it won't get much attention.
