Suppose I told you that my dad is Aha, Aeon of Elation, and my mom is Akivili, Aeon of Trailblaze. What would you do?
As a textbook overpowered protagonist, Chang Qing could destroy planets not long after he was born.
His dad, Aha, always liked to sing strange lullabies to help him fall asleep. But the songs were so awful that Chang Qing had never once fallen asleep. If anything, they left him so stunned his eyes went as round as copper bells.
His mom, Akivili, was an exceedingly elegant “gentleman,” who could always remain composed as long as his dad wasn’t around.
Akivili: It absolutely isn’t because I still resent Aha for blowing up my Astral Express.
Chang Qing once asked his mother why he didn’t look anything like his parents.
Akivili was in the middle of preparing to ram into Aha when he paused, gently stroked Chang Qing’s hair, and delivered a shocking blow: “Because you’re adopted.”
Sure, it’s a wish-fulfillment story with an overpowered protagonist, but did this part have to be the same too?
On the day rumors spread that Akivili had fallen, Chang Qing saw his father, who had never been favored by his mother, arrive and start weeping over the train.
“Oh! The mother of my child! How could you be gone!”
“Hey, Aeon of Elation! The Astral Express doesn’t welcome you, pah!”
The day before Chang Qing ascended to Aeonhood, he was still arguing with the elementary-schooler next door, the Aeon of Destruction. As the first person to ascend without a Path, Chang Qing attracted the attention of many Aeons.
The happiest of them all was his father. “Hahahaha! Aha’s child is an Aeon, Aha is an Aeon, and the mother of Aha’s child is an Aeon too! We Aeons are one big happy family!”
That day, Nanook chased Aha around and beat him up. The Abundance, who came to offer congratulations, was chased and beaten by Lan after Aha sent them a Beacon from the Abundance.
Chang Qing: I thought I was the protagonist here.
And so, at the hour when the Amber Lord struck the gavel, Akivili, Aeon of Trailblaze, “fell,” and Chang Qing, the overpowered Aeon, was “born.”
Unwilling to believe that his mother was gone, Chang Qing decided to follow the traces Akivili had left behind and search for him.
He had barely boarded the train when the Conductor, Pom-Pom, kicked him off. After asking why, Chang Qing stared at the sign and fell into thought.
“Anyone who shares the scent of the Aeon of Elation and their followers is forbidden to enter!”
Chang Qing: Open the door! I’m my mom! I mean, I’m Akivili’s child! Let me in!
The overpowered Trailblazer, upholding the spirit of Elation, drives his little scooter around and rams into everyone!
A quick guide for readers:
1. The protagonist is at the absolute ceiling of the power scale. Everything is geared toward an overpowered protagonist, with a cheerful, slice-of-life feel. Wherever there’s fun to be had, this father and son (?) are sure to show up.
2. Every Aeon is connected to the protagonist. He’s not only powerful, but has a powerful background too. The overpowered Aeon is a special case: someone without a Path.
3. Aside from maxing out his combat power, the overpowered protagonist also has MAX beauty and charm! This overpowered protagonist has an irresistible allure and is a queen shou (absolutely certain).
4. Strong OOC warning (except for the protagonist, because whatever he does, it’s impossible for him to be OOC). Finally, I hope you enjoy reading!
