The Moon Has Its Bright and Dark Phases

(Narcissism, yes, narcissism again~ If you don't like pseudo-classical Chinese, skip to the main story; it won't affect your enjoyment. Short story, updates whenever inspiration strikes~)

Two chapters of Records of Talented People in the Jin Yuan Era: one about the flute-loving recluse Que Yue, and one about Chu Haochen. Third-person perspective, like unofficial history, in pseudo-classical Chinese.

One chapter of Notes from Nan You, written by Que Yue. First-person perspective, like a diary, in pseudo-classical Chinese.

The pseudo-classical text will be revised, with additions and cuts from time to time.

The main story, When the Moon Is Full and When It Wanes, is told mainly from Que Yue's perspective. It's a little like a translation and compilation of the pseudo-classical version, but more detailed.

In one sentence: He never imagined he would fall in love with the soul and desire he had personally torn away from himself.

“Who am I?”

“My other half.”

“But the moon's other half is still the moon. Isn't that boring?”

“The moon is full in the heart of the sky tonight.”

Theme: Love yourself.
