The Love of Narcissus [Self-Love]

A Greek mythology fanfic about Narcissus (?), more or less. It has a strong personal slant.

(The original story has quite a few versions, so I took a little inspiration from several of them. People have mixed opinions about this beautiful boy, huh? Shrugs.)

The story's ending seems to go like this: Narcissus goes into the water seeking love and dies, turning into a narcissus flower by the water.

Or like this: Narcissus gazes at his reflection all his life, and after he dies, a narcissus flower grows where he lay.

Or like this: The rippling water drives Narcissus to despair. Unable to bear the pain, he jumps into the water and drowns. Out of pity, the gods turn his body into a narcissus flower.

Because I don't like bad endings!!! So I'm going to write fanfiction!!! (Wracking my brains)

Theme: Loving yourself is the best
