After eating them for eighteen whole years, Jiang Que had managed to starve ten of his eighteen tentacles to death. At last, he'd had enough. To keep his remaining eight tentacles healthy, Jiang Que decided to exterminate humanity and find a new food source. And so: Blizzards descended, the sky turned gray, and dark clouds hung low. Volcanoes erupted, spewing lava and black smoke, leaving no land fit for life. The earth cracked, and all creation trembled. Just as disasters ravaged the world and humanity stood on the brink of extinction A romance novel fell into the abyss. Jiang Que: Nom. (Swallows it whole.) !!! (Pupils trembling.) Such a beautiful romance existed in this world! . The stern, conventional head of the Shen family, Shen Tazhi, has a secret. He has been reborn. In his previous life, during the apocalypse, he was abandoned by everyone and left destitute. By chance, he fell into the abyss. There was nothing in the abyss except a little monster with porcelain-white skin, black hair, and black eyes. It was weeping as it hugged its dead little tentacle, tears pattering down. He had encountered a monster. Shen Tazhi lowered his eyes, thinking this to himself. The little monster looked up at him. Curiosity overcame its sadness, and it used its seven remaining tentacles to drag him into its lair. [Did you come from outside? Can you tell me a story?] [We can go find you food. You can have it all. Just tell us a story!] The dreaded Shen Tazhi, who had never told anyone a story before: ... “...What would you like to hear?” . After returning to the time before the apocalypse, Shen Tazhi did only one thing. He took the written version of the romance novel he'd made up in his previous life and went back to the abyss. The little monster was still weeping miserably as it hugged its dead tentacle. He crouched down and gently soothed it: “Don't cry. I'll tell you a story, all right?” He lowered his head and kissed the little tentacle, his ears turning slightly red. “Your tentacles... can grow back, too. I'll stay with you.” Jiang Que: !?! A-a really good person! QAQ!! To repay him, Jiang Que decided to show his affection in the most direct way possible. He revealed his thickest, most beautiful tentacle, covered in barbs: “Hello, nice to meet you! This is my reproductive tentacle. Do you enjoy watching those useless mixed-blood Sentinels fight over you?” Shi Sui: ...? . He transmigrated, but went from being a top-tier omega to a top-tier Guide. As the Sentinel let out a groan of unbearable distress and could no longer speak, Shi Sui thought with a smile: Little wolves are cuter when they behave.
