Before Humanity's Strongest Is Purged

[Not the final version. Anything may change with inspiration before the story begins.] When species began to mutate and the apocalypse arrived, an emergency response team was formed. Xie Wang, the fourth leader of the emergency response team, was humanity's last solid bulwark, a bright, cold blade of justice. People revered his strength and had seen his terrifying side. With him at their side, humanity, suppressed for years, finally launched a counterattack. In a perilous battle, they killed the Level Five infected creature entrenched in southeastern Z City, reclaiming territory that had once belonged to them for the first time. "Tsk, how pitiful." Yet in this moment of glorious victory, a cheerful, laughing voice sounded in Xie Wang's ear. It belonged to the aberrant creature that should have died long ago. "'Humanity's dawn, the strongest sword of the apocalypse'... What a joke." "Guess what will happen to you when the day the apocalypse ends finally comes?" Blood trickled from the tip of the blade. People all around him looked on with wariness and fear. That voice poured sweet poison into his ears. "Just like me." "You'll die without a proper grave." Tip: 1. This is a 1v1 romance. The leads are each other's one and only, with an intensely mutual bond. No separating them or reversing their roles. Theme: None for now
