After Infinite-Game Players Retire

[My neighboring novel, Deep Abyssal Dragon Awakens, is now available] [For publication updates, follow Weibo @SangwoJunDoesNotWantToWrite] Blurb: As a notorious menace in the world of infinite-flow games, Ye Jia deliberately kept his strength hidden after clearing the game and found himself an easy desk job in the logistics department of the Bureau of Supernatural Phenomena. He thought he could return to a carefree life and enjoy his days in comfort. But Ye Jia never expected that... One day, he opened his fridge and found a hideous evil spirit’s head inside. “Boss, boss, did you miss me...” Ye Jia: “...” He slammed the fridge door shut and fell into deep thought. So is there something wrong with this world? The news was playing on the TV behind him: “Paranormal incidents have been occurring with increasing frequency. The number of missing persons has risen sharply. An investigation is underway...” · The infinite-flow survival game unexpectedly collapsed. Countless monsters and demons trapped inside broke free and began wreaking havoc in the human world. Only Ye Jia, who had cleared the game, knew the truth. Every last one of them... was an old acquaintance... Ye Jia: This is so hard. #I just wanted to be an ordinary office worker, that’s all# At last, one day, he came face to face with a monster he never expected to see. After a two-second silence, Ye Jia greeted him awkwardly: “...You got out too. What a coincidence.” The man smiled and approached him unhurriedly. “My boyfriend ran away from home, so of course I came out to catch him and take him back.” Ye Jia: “...” Who could have guessed that alongside the cataclysmic opening of the gates of hell, which shook the entire world, something else would return to the human realm... His romantic entanglement. Come on, sir. How is this even possible? Monsters roamed everywhere, and resources were scarce. To survive, everyone was born with a weapon symbolizing their psychic power: a knife, a sword, a whip, a machine gun... But Cheng Ling’s weapon was, a pen. Facing the monster charging at him with a roar, and the shabby tent behind him that was so poor it had nothing to its name, Cheng Ling looked down at the pencil stub in his hand. “...” What good are you? Of everything Cheng Ling drew, only people never came to life. Until one day, on a whim, he casually drew the main villain from the comic he’d serialized in his previous life. The next second, the bloodthirsty tyrant Li Changyuan and Cheng Ling stared at each other. Li Changyuan: “...Wait, wasn’t I in seclusion, restoring my psychic power?” Cheng Ling gaped, so shocked he dropped his pen. “...” Wait, does this mean I’m a summoner?!
