After Pretending to Lose My Memory, the Archangel and the Demon King Got Together

During a thousand-year war against the Demon Realm, the Archangel Michael was struck by a demon's curse.

He was captured while covering his companions' retreat.

When Michael woke again, he heard a demon outside the door confidently declare that he had lost all his memories of being an archangel.

Michael: That doesn't sound right.

He was certain he'd been captured as the Archangel.

Then his sworn enemy walked into the bedroom, and Michael immediately decided to pretend he had amnesia.

He would never give his nemesis a chance to pry out the secrets of the Seventh Heaven.

Michael, with a baffled expression: Who are you?

His nemesis Lucifer's expression turned cold, and then he pinned Michael to the bed.

Michael's pupils contracted. Oh no! Lucifer is going to kill me!

Then his nemesis caressed his face and said tenderly, "I heard you lost your memory. Do you still remember me, Micha... my Demon Queen?"

Michael: ?

What Demon Queen? And weren't you just about to call me Michael?

...Lucifer, do you dare look me in the eye and say that name again?

Lucifer didn't just say it again. He also made up a story about Michael pursuing him into Hell for love, the Demon King and the Archangel overcoming eighty-one trials to find their happy ending, and their recent wedding. As a side note, they're currently in the sweet part of the story.

If Michael weren't one of the protagonists in Lucifer's tale, and the one who married into the Demon Realm at that, he might almost have believed it. Almost.

To keep his secret that he hadn't actually lost his memory, Michael had no choice but to endure the humiliation and stay in the Demon Realm as the prospective Demon Queen. While putting up with Lucifer's mortifying torment, he played along with him and gathered intelligence on the Demon Realm.

And then it became real.

Pairing: The scheming, gloomy, ruthless fallen star of the morning, Lucifer, as the top, and the irritable, cold-faced, bad-tempered beauty of the Seventh Heaven, Michael, as the bottom. Mutual pining.
