After Getting Engaged to Sherlock Holmes by Contract

[My new story next door, Becoming Tang Minghuang's White Moonlight, is now out. Thanks for your support (∩_∩)] Agatha was originally a university student in the 21st century, but she transmigrated into the body of a British maid in the Victorian era. She had a fiancé whose business was taking off. He was a plumber named Escott, and he ran off. Her employer, Milverton, was a greedy blackmailer. One stormy night, someone murdered him. The police asked the famous Sherlock Holmes to investigate the case. Holmes: Milverton was one of the most dangerous men in London. I have no sympathy for the victim, so I won't take the case. This gentleman was so honest and straightforward, and so endearing, Agatha thought. She ought to visit Baker Street and see the famous detective for herself, and while she was there, ask him to look into her fiancé's whereabouts. When she arrived at 221B Baker Street... Agatha froze. Holmes froze, too. Watson: Good day, miss. Is there a case you'd like to bring to us? Agatha, expressionless: Yes, sir. I'm looking for a heartless rogue named Escott. Oh, he also goes by another name now: Holmes. Watson: ??? Holmes gave a wry smile. Watson, this is the fiancée I told you about. Blurb dated: 2023.06.25 Reader's Guide: 01. [Highlight] This is a fanfic based on the original, written in my own style. I do not support nitpicking over canon details! 02. The story mainly focuses on everyday romantic tension. Everything else is secondary. 03. The main references are the original works and Sherlock. The characterizations are a big mix, the timeline is completely scrambled, and the plot is all that matters to the logic. 04. Please stop complaining about how the author dares to name the heroine Agatha. The maid in the original Milverton case is named Agatha. Theme: Keep striving, and your dreams will bloom.
