A new decree has been issued, renewing all things in the Heavenly Court.

The Jade Emperor secretly orders Ao Cunxin, confined to the West Sea, to report to Heaven and take on a highly classified mission: keep an eye on Yang Jian.

So the immortals see the former Third Princess of the West Sea report to the True Lord's Palace and become a Law-Enforcing God under Yang Jian, tasked with arrests. She gives herself the name "Ao Wuxin."

Having changed her name, the immortals know she has sworn to cut all ties with her past.

But Second Master favors Ao Wuxin at every turn, to an absurd degree. The other Law-Enforcing Gods are furious but dare not say a word.

One of them boldly follows them, determined to see how Ao Wuxin curries favor with her superior.

Amid the dim candlelight of the True Lord's Palace, the cold, aloof god pins the dragon maiden against the icy wall, one hand locked around her waist as their lips and tongues entwine.

"Yang Jian..." Ao Wuxin has nowhere left to retreat, her breath unsteady. "What are you planning to do to your Law-Enforcing God?"

Half-hidden behind a stone pillar, the follower silently stuffs his entire fist into his mouth.
