Miss Eva was brought to China by her adoptive father, who had suddenly become interested in ancient Eastern culture and gentle old ladies from Jiangnan (not really). After being steeped in nine years of compulsory education and all sorts of bizarre spell books, she returned to London at sixteen.

Eva thought Baker Street was safe, because according to a reliable source (not really), the younger brother of a Muggle official lived next door.

But as it turned out...

That younger brother of the Muggle official was the most terrifying threat of all!

A few things to know before reading:

1. This story is firmly 1v1, no exceptions.

2. The author is writing based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the BBC TV series Sherlock. The story takes place in 2006, eight years after the Battle of Hogwarts. If any details differ from those two great original works, please discuss them amicably with the author in the comments.

3. The romance is a slow burn, so don't read if that's not your thing.
