[After spending a long time trying to work things out, I failed to rewrite this. I've unlocked the blurb and posted an announcement. This story probably won't be updated again.
Though I haven't written the dumplings with vinegar I had in mind, and I've been looking forward to those dumplings with vinegar for so long, for various reasons I don't plan to write in a Detective Conan setting anymore, so I locked the story. Looking at this abandoned tree, I feel I should at least give you an explanation, but I honestly don't know how to replace the Detective Conan setting, and rewriting it has been incredibly difficult. Maybe someday, if I lose my job and have plenty of time, I'll try to write six thousand words straight through to the dumplings with vinegar.]
Her master raised me with painstaking care and diligence. In return, on his birthday, I replaced his harpoon with a pink magic liquor wand. He wept with joy and sent me to a faraway castle in Italy to enjoy a life of comfort.
I never imagined that this was only the beginning of living under someone else's roof. Every day was chaos, and I was worked to the bone.
[Infiltrate the distillery and gather information]
At last, I understood. In less than three weeks, the long-haired stepmother had finally revealed his terrible true nature. He was going to kick me out and take the castle for himself.
Damn it, I would be reborn and return with an outrageously cool and domineering persona, kick that perverted old Lei to the curb, punch the cross-dresser, and make the idiotic prince and the long-haired stepmother kneel before me.
The good news: there's a second long-haired stepmother at the distillery, one who doesn't want to murder people's ears and has a very good temper.
The bad news: the first long-haired stepmother diss me every time he contacts me, saying I take forever to finish even the simplest missions.

Gin was going insane, literally. His sanity was about to hit zero.
The organization sent a new talent to assist him. After his beloved Porsche was smashed up and sent straight to the repair shop, the newcomer used a megaphone while undercover, and did a pre-shooting transformation pose like a certain mouse before firing, Gin went completely off the deep end. He nearly fulfilled the newcomer's prediction that the stress would make his hair fall out until he was bald.
Gin finally understood: if he didn't kill this damn frog, he would die instead.
But it was clear the organization valued this damn informant highly.
So Gin coldly assigned him a few impossible missions.
[Mission: Approach the genius scientist Verde, who operates in the underworld.]
[Mission: Investigate the technical advisor to the strongest mafia family.]
[Mission: Look into rumors of a sorcerer who possesses the power of reincarnation.]
Ha. Let's see this damn frog get out of those unscathed.
TIPS:
1. Pairing with Bel. The frog is thirteen from the start, and the romance comes much later.
2. The timeline is after the Cursed Child arc.
3. Chaotic, out-of-character comedy. There's not much logic, just nonstop mayhem.
4. I'm constantly revising the story. Minor edits won't affect your reading; major revisions will be marked.
Theme: Take your job seriously and work hard
