At military academy, all kinds of carnivorous beasts compete to outdo one another, but he awakens as a rabbit. Not only is he ridiculously good-looking, his bright red eyes make his skin look as pale as snow. The ears perched on his head even tremble in fear from the food chain instinct whenever a large carnivorous student roars nearby. The ferocious beasts who have awakened as apex predators all harbor impure thoughts about him. His former classmates, whom he once outshone, are waiting for him to pack his bags and get lost, while the school wants to transfer him to an administrative department so he won't get eaten. Sheng Jiayu lowers his head, gives a faint smile, and answers crisply with two words: "I won't." The whole school is waiting to laugh at this rabbit who has walked right into the tiger's den. But Sheng Jiayu comes in first by a mile in orienteering, hits the bullseye with every shot, and is unbeatable in hand-to-hand combat. Everyone: Is he really a herbivore? Then, during the end-of-term combat exercise, Sheng Jiayu faces the undefeated demon king of the military academy. The demon king is a lion-tiger beast. The bloodline suppression of the food chain makes Sheng Jiayu tremble from head to toe. Just as everyone thinks Sheng Jiayu is about to admit defeat, this unconventional rabbit actually smiles. So, atop the city's sky tower, Li San brings in a Guide who let his spirit animal run wild. The Guide can't answer a single question in the interrogation room, and a background check turns up no trace of him ever existing. He's an undocumented person in the truest sense. After investigating and confirming that Qu Jingzhou had no intention of causing trouble, Li San has no choice but to let him go. But the man doesn't leave. Instead, he latches onto him. "Officer, I have nowhere else to go. Why don't you let me be your partner?" * There's a rumor at the Bureau of Abnormal Event Management that a stunning beauty recently joined the bureau and latched onto their captain, Li San, who has always been impossible to sway. Lifeforms mutate, monsters run rampant, ancient gods fall, and natural disasters come one after another. A colossal tsunami is about to devour the land, while the cracked valleys teem with demons that consume life. The merman Li En sits on a rock by the sea, matching the scene before him piece by piece with what the prophecy book describes. So the prophecy book was telling the truth. What was he supposed to do now? Li En turns around, ready to head ashore, only to be scooped up in a huge net that drops from the sky. * Surrounded by a group of humans, Li En doesn't dare move. In his eyes, humans are tiny, fragile, and quick to die. But in the humans' eyes, merfolk are gorgeous, delicate, prone to depression, and expensive. Li En and the humans stare at one another, wide-eyed. Nobody dares move. Until someone suggests, "How about... we give him to the boss?" So Li En gets a deluxe, three-meter-tall aquarium, along with a group of fragile humans who gather around him every day and perform for his amusement. Li En tilts his head and points at one of them. "You. Do that thing from just now again." * When Song Xinian returns from a mission, he finds a huge aquarium at home, along with a merman monster universally considered a pretty face. His teammates are gathered around the aquarium, "performing a ritual" to keep the merman from dying of depression. He darkly ushers those useless teammates out, then sees the merman leaning against the aquarium, chin in his hands, watching him. "Are you here to offer me a ritual sacrifice too?" * Li En discovers that the humans in this world aren't as fragile as the ones in his memories. They also love to offer him sacrifices, helping him recover his strength quickly. The only problem is that these humans seem overprotective. They even prepare exquisitely presented sashimi for him, but give him such tiny portions that he gets hungry and sneaks out in the middle of the night to gnaw on his spoils. One time, he is noisily crunching on a monster's bones, his face smeared with blood, when the warehouse door opens. Song Xinian stands outside, at a loss, and asks, "Are... are your guts okay?" The shou is a sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside, gorgeous nonhuman with no common sense, an antique several thousand years old, and an outrageously overpowered golden finger. 3. A hodgepodge of pseudo-Western fantasy, an alternate world, and an evolutionary apocalypse, with mythology I've made up myself. Don't overanalyze it, just let me make things up.
