As a professional storyteller, Qiao You is always asked by powerful investors to offer advice on adapting web novels into dramas.
After spending a whole night mentally ranting about some domineering-CEO danmei novel, he transmigrates.
He becomes one of the CEO's household servants, a nameless extra who doesn't even deserve a name, and gets saddled with a sexy lace maid outfit.
Qiao You: Thanks, I love it. [gritting his teeth]
Though the original character has the role of a mere passerby, he's indispensable to the story from beginning to end.
Being moody and unpredictable is a CEO's trademark. One moment, he's smashing the dining table to pieces.
The servants have to work themselves to the bone without complaint, and still find time to gossip: only the little bottom can touch the CEO's most sensitive nerve!
Qiao You doesn't get it. Why not replace the table with marble? Is it because he doesn't like marble?
The CEO's white moonlight shows up to lord it over everyone, and the little bottom leaves heartbroken.
The CEO says, “Leave him alone,” but the servants are forced to get up in the middle of the night and search the whole city for him. They wander, shattered and forlorn, through the late-autumn rain, soaring to the heavens as they swoon over the CEO's devotion.
Qiao You goes straight to the white moonlight, brandishing surveillance footage from the CEO's house to report him:
“The CEO's been forcing himself on the nanny for ages, bullying the cook, and eyeing his own uncle with lust. Run, brother! I'll help you grab a standing-room ticket!”
Everyone knows you can't edit video. [doge]
The little bottom is in a car accident and falls into a coma. The CEO's eyes turn bloodshot, and he orders the doctors and servants to be buried with him.
Qiao You's face drains of color. Clutching his chest, he collapses to the floor, skipping the examination and going straight to a critical-condition notice.
The CEO can pay for the damages anyway. At minimum, it'll bankrupt him; there's no upper limit.
2.
A man who never appeared in the original story turns up at the house. He's exquisitely handsome and refined, with the easy grace and pampered air of someone used to being in charge.
Qiao You, a sucker for pretty faces who was about to make a run for it, takes back that crucial step:
There's a handsome man? Not sure. Better take another look.
When he asks around, all anyone can tell him is that the man is “the housekeeper.”
Knowing that you have to take a chance to win, Qiao You makes the first move and tells the man:
“A housekeeper and a nanny belong together, for all eternity.”
The man: ? [smiles]
How strange. Never seen that before. Better take another look.
To fit perfectly into his role as housekeeper, the man humbly asks Qiao You for advice on how to do the job well.
Qiao You enthusiastically teaches him: “The three laws of being a housekeeper.”
The young master hasn't smiled in ages.
The young master has brought someone home for the first time.
When picking up the drunk young master, pull over halfway to admire the scenery. If the young master and his sweetheart are making out in the car, the housekeeper should gouge out his own eyes.
The man smiles with impeccable politeness and leans close to Qiao You, his voice low:
“If the housekeeper wants to make out with the nanny, should the young master gouge out his own eyes too?”
Qiao You: ?
I could be persuaded.
What a bold housekeeper. He really gets the essence of a wish-fulfillment novel. I'm in love.
3.
One day, the CEO inexplicably seeks out Qiao You and says there are too many servants in the house, so one or two of them need to be sent elsewhere.
Since Qiao You has been a terrible employee but still does his job conscientiously, the CEO is willing to give him another chance. He makes Qiao You compete against the head housekeeper in a live-action housework showdown, then lays down the stakes:
“Win, and you can marry the housekeeper and stay. Lose, and you marry my uncle and get out.”
After a crushing defeat, Qiao You has no time to fight the evil capitalist. To avoid marrying an uncle who exists only in other people's stories and whose appearance is a mystery, he flees in the middle of the night, carrying a train on his back.
He has only just made it to the station when the housekeeper arrives by car and stops him.
The housekeeper is still smiling warmly and calmly:
“You made a very stylish getaway, but I don't like what you said about refusing to marry my uncle even if it killed you.”
Qiao You: ???

Reading guide:
1. Same-sex marriage is legal in this setting, with lots of author-invented details.
2. Logic serves the plot. Expect characters to act dumb.
3. The protagonist bottom's motto is “I did nothing wrong, and I won't accept this.” His worldview is something else, and he talks a lot. Read at your own risk if that bothers you.
4. My writing is bad and my vocabulary is limited. I won't have time to curse you back. I'll definitely work harder in my next life. [determined fist pump.jpg]
5. The top and bottom are ten years apart in age.
6. No need to tell me if you drop the novel.

Upcoming novel: All Right, No More Pouting
1.
Liu Jingheng was born with a chronic illness. Years of treatment and medication have caused his memory to deteriorate, leaving him wooden and slow-witted.
On the brink of death, he transmigrates into a danmei novel as a cannon-fodder green tea villain.
The green tea villain does every wicked thing imaginable and meets a perfectly miserable end, delighting his enemies and making his loved ones even happier than his enemies.
After six months of running on an ancient CPU, Liu Jingheng reaches a conclusion:
I don't want to live. I'll fulfill my cannon-fodder role as soon as possible. That little box is where I'll end up anyway.
When he arrives, the cannon fodder is plotting to frame the protagonist bottom and ruin his reputation.
Then comes the cannon fodder's signature line: “I sincerely treated you as a friend. Why would you hurt me? You villain!”
Liu Jingheng clenches his fist with determination: Just do it. Throw me into the Yellow River and let the whole country drink Longjing tea.
But when he opens his mouth, he's shocked to find his brain as blank as goose down. His severely deteriorated tongue even curls up as he stammers:
“I sincerely wanted to hurt you. Why did you treat me as a friend? Bad, ba…”
The protagonist bottom: ...?
Why is he suddenly acting cute?
Under the moonlight, the protagonist bottom holds Liu Jingheng in his arms in the garden and gently coaxes him:
“It doesn't hurt anymore, right? Next time, tell me your plan ahead of time, and I'll cooperate properly.”
Behind them, the protagonist top clenches his fist, the size of a sandbag, until it cracks.
2.
In the original story, the protagonist top sees his wife leave in tears, then comes up with a scheme to have someone else do his dirty work.
He approaches Liu Jingheng and says:
“I want to marry you too, but my uncle is dead set against it. Go tell him you have photos of him in bed and will use them to force him to give in. Don't tell him I suggested it.”
Hearing this, Liu Jingheng wants to die even more.
In the original story, the uncle, Qin Du, is the ultimate villain, hated by everyone. He's utterly inhuman. Years ago, he personally removed his mother's oxygen mask, setting him on the path to rebellion.
To get buried as soon as possible, Liu Jingheng clenches both fists: The villain is bad, I'm good, and I'll make the whole country drink Longjing tea.
He finds Qin Du, but as soon as he meets the man's cold, stern gaze, his aged, encrusted brain jumbles up the “you, me, him” lines the protagonist top taught him. He stammers:
“I-if you don't marry me, you have to show me your bed photos…”
Without even looking up, Qin Du says in a frosty voice:
“Speak properly. If you keep acting cute, you'll be sent back where you came from.”
Liu Jingheng: I'm not, quack.
After his plan fails, Liu Jingheng follows Qin Du around every day, hoping to find a way to transmigrate back. He does nothing but threaten him.
Practice makes perfect. His lines grow more fluent, and he even learns to improvise.
Liu Jingheng threatens him: “If you don't agree, I'll stop eating and starve to death.”
Qin Du finally looks up, magnanimously: “And then? You want me to feed you?”
Liu Jingheng freezes like a duck with its neck in a noose.
He suddenly can't remember if that was what he meant.
Then Qin Du adds:
“Fine. Let me see you pout.”
Liu Jingheng: ? “I can't. Uncle, don't torment me, quack.”
Qin Du raises a spoon: “Good boy.”
Liu Jingheng never forgets his plan to make the whole country drink Longjing tea. Knowing he can't trust his own brain, he pulls out the carefully organized Green Tea Guide.
If he reads from it, he can't go wrong.
He finds the relevant question in the guide, flips to the next page, and confidently reads the answer:
“Big brother, I'm wearing sheer little panties today. Do you want to see? I remember your lover doesn't like wearing sheer little panties.”
Liu Jingheng: ...? These words look so unfamiliar.
Stupid hand! A book has to be turned one page at a time!
He's about to read it again when he hears Qin Du's voice across from him, low and cool, but tinged with amusement:
“So obedient. Let's see those little panties.”
Liu Jingheng: .
Theme: Find hope in adversity. Never give up or give in, and don't be too pessimistic when trouble comes. There's always a way around every obstacle.
Help, I'm laughing so hard, baby, don't turn your uncle into a pervert. Your uncle just wants to drink your wedding wine.
The wife's extras are becoming more and more realistic and profound, and it feels like unfolding the real story in the novel. How can I put it, the discontinuity is actually torturous?
This beginning belongs to, you dare to write a series that I dare not read
It feels like this is the real world. Alas, capitalists don't have that much time to help you grow.
Hahahahahahaha, love, calm down and react
How come there's still no wedding in the end?
I really regret buying this episode. I'm so angry.
Damn it, everyone except Qiao Bu is embarrassed to know about this and everyone has become the owner of the mansion.

Why does this new nanny look wrong?
