When Gin Becomes a Mind Reader

Kurosawa Jin was born with the ability to read minds. He could see what other people were thinking.

This ability brought him many conveniences, but also showed him the many sides of human nature.

Some people might say they love you with every breath, while secretly planning your death.

Others might sob as they tell you how much they hate you, even though they can't let go of their love for you.

He had seen a cheating husband shed tears as he confessed to his wife, while inwardly cursing her and wishing her dead.

Human nature was complicated, and people were hard to trust.

After reading minds time and again, his heart grew numb and cold, until he lost the emotions a person was supposed to have.

Then one day, an arrogant man with tousled hair appeared.

From the very first time their eyes met, he was nothing but utterly frank.

His honest dislike:

From their very first meeting, the man showed him deep hostility. "Honestly, Senior Gin, did you sleep your way into this position?"

[ I really hate you, cop.]

Gin: I knew it. A Public Security mole wouldn't be this brazen when meeting his senior.

His honest affection:

Later, he was both sheepish and unapologetic. "The past is the past, and the present is the present. That's all in the past now. Are you really not going to let me love you now?"

[So what if I like you? What are you going to do about it!]

Gin: ...I've never seen anyone confess like they were picking a fight.

Later, he accidentally learned that Gin could read minds...

[I love you.]

And so, every casual glance between them became a silent confession.

1. Black Matsuda and red Gin. If that's not your thing, don't read.

2. The police academy group survives. No redemption arcs needed. Their death flags have been utterly smashed.

3. Both protagonists are good people in the end, so there's no way they'd fall in love with a villain.

4. This is a pure comedy. Some OOC is inevitable, but it won't be a total disaster. If you can't accept that, please read with caution.

54. The author's intelligence is in the basement, so I'll try to avoid schemes and conspiracies because I can't write them. If there are any plot holes, I'll find a way to swallow them.
