Even the World's Bugs Need Saving

The story begins with an ordinary high school graduate-to-be passing by the Fortune Tower just as it explodes. Fate marks him, forcing him into a miserable and despairing loop.

In the first loop, Kiriya Hoshino is a cheerful, sunny young idol. Every day, he dances, sings, and performs concerts, occasionally granting his fans' wishes through fan service. Sometimes he glances at the news, feels sad for the bomb disposal officer who died in the line of duty, and admires the young detective and the Sleeping Kogoro... Then the world resets.

When Kiriya Hoshino finds himself back in the university entrance exam hall, he's devastated. But he comforts himself that Heaven has given him another chance, and cheerfully and optimistically becomes an idol once again. This time, he does even better than before. He thinks things will carry on like this, until one year he notices the seasons changing in disorder, and that he can never escape the year 1994.

The world resets again.

This time, Kiriya Hoshino finally realizes something is wrong and actively begins searching for the cause, but to no avail.

The fourth time, the fifth, the sixth...

He starts trying to save people and change things, but the results aren't what he hoped for.

It isn't until the eighth loop that Kiriya Hoshino discovers what the previous resets had in common:

A child named Edogawa dies.

In the tenth loop, Kiriya Hoshino finds himself back in the exam hall once more.

He finally understands what he has to do.

Save people.

With that as his goal, Kiriya Hoshino devotes himself to the task.

And so:

The bomber who killed two police officers is finally caught;

A white dove flies onto the rooftop as gunshots ring out;

Once everything is understood, perceptive people realize that one person's shadow seems to lie behind this whole chain of events.

But when they follow the clues, they're turned away by a wall around his heart.

There is only one kind of heroism in the world: to love life even after recognizing the truth of it. But Kiriya Hoshino isn't a hero.

He's just an ordinary person who wants to live an ordinary but fulfilling life.

But one reset after another has already destroyed his courage to keep living.

Then someone says:

"Coward, if you're afraid, take my hand."

[You've worked hard, our savior. Now let us save you.]

PS: One-on-one romance, a touch of being adored by everyone. There are many people with one-sided feelings, but Hoshino will only return one person's affection.
