The Villain Is Mentally Ill

Zhou Xingyu is an utterly ordinary mental patient, one who knows he's actually sane. His companion System says this is the only way to stop wave after wave of outsiders from destroying this world.

So Zhou Xingyu smiled and leveled a mountain. Then, for pretending to have dissociative identity disorder, he was sent to a psychiatric hospital in an interstellar prison, where he was assigned the number 20.

From then on, the kind gentleman with the gentle smile became the nightmare of transmigrators and players alike.

[Infinite Flow: Escape from Prison No. N]

Before getting to know Zhou Xingyu: "That Zhou Xingyu is a great NPC. We can use him!"

After growing closer: "He's so pitiful and so gentle. I love him so much. I have to get him out of here!"

After discovering his true nature: "Mom! He's terrifying! He's the Boss! Damn it, don't come near me! Aaaah!"

[Fourth Calamity: Otome Game Male Lead]

When dealing with other characters, players: Steady as can be. Flirting, sweet talk, affection +1, +1.

When dealing with Zhou Xingyu, players are disappointed at first: "Huh, another gentle type?"

Then they're locked up, and the players are ecstatic: "Holy crap! He's sweet on the outside, dark on the inside! I'm in love!"

Later, the characters they've won over stand against them, while Zhou Xingyu stands in the center, surrounded by admirers. The players are left bewildered, nailed to their crosses.

With numb expressions: "Haha. Knew that sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside type was no good."

[Quick Transmigration: Identify and Win Over the Villain]

At first: "He's so innocent, even more innocent than the protagonist of a school story. We can use him!"

Halfway through: "He's so cute and so pitiful. I don't care about the villain anymore. Can I take him with me? Or maybe I could just stay here!"

In the end: "Holy crap, don't come near me! Help, help, help! I don't want Zhou Xingyu anymore! Let me go!"

The goal was accomplished, but the System couldn't help sighing. "Host, you scared them."

Zhou Xingyu blinked innocently. "Did I?"

System: "...No. They're just cowards."

What had the Host done wrong? He was only a little sadistic. The outsiders were simply too timid.

The male lead has no romance, and his relationships with the other characters are purely platonic.

The System dotes on him like a child, with no limits.

Message: Never give up hope.
