Idol Express Delivery

At thirteen, Koto Haruko received an audition notice. She went to try out, thinking she had nothing to lose, and never expected to be chosen.

A group of girls around middle-school age had no training, no star quality, and not even the faintest idea of what it meant to be an idol.

School uniforms and mushroom cuts, completely natural features, an overwhelming air of country bumpkin charm, and youthful, radiant skin: could girls like these really become idols?

Koto Haruko didn't understand any of it. She only knew that since she'd come this far, she should do her best!

With that in mind, thirteen-year-old Koto Haruko bravely became a young idol.

Two years later, the group shot to fame overnight. The producer decided to introduce a spokesperson closely associated with the group, and fifteen-year-old Koto Haruko became its center against her will, full of reluctance and distress.

She didn't understand why they had chosen her, but despite her unease, she still thought: Since I've been chosen, I should do my best!

At fifteen, Koto Haruko took on an honor far beyond her years. It was a heavy burden that could swallow her whole at the slightest misstep, but she persevered.

The unshakable center, the group's spokesperson...

Draped in dazzling starlight, the once-rustic little girl grew into a veteran who could stand on her own, becoming an idol to all idols.

She had always lived up to the name “idol.” Even many years after her retirement, whenever people thought of idols, the first name that came to mind was “Koto Haruko.”

No romance. The girls share a beautiful friendship. There will be arguments and friction, but that's normal.

The author is hopelessly devoted to the protagonist. She's doted on by the whole group, with a touch of everyone falling for her.
