The Emperor’s Heart

[Cold, sharp-tongued emperor bottom x shameless, lovesick minister top] After the arrogant and overbearing young Prince Li became emperor, the first rule he laid down was: Don’t make me unhappy. On the new emperor’s first day at court, he beat the Minister of Revenue. “So you dare withhold my army’s provisions?” The imperial harem was empty, and many ministers submitted petitions asking His Majesty to choose consorts. Li Shichen: “Have you even looked at yourselves? Do any of you qualify?” At a banquet, a dancer performed for him. “It is this humble woman’s good fortune to perform before Your Majesty.” Li Shichen: “If you know you’re making a fool of yourself, then don’t come here and offend my eyes.” He was ambushed during the autumn hunt. Li Shichen mused, “Was my father often attacked, too?” Eunuch Wang fell silent for a long moment, thinking His Majesty felt sorry for the late emperor. But then Li Shichen said: “He must have been pretty hard to kill.” The ministers worked diligently to send their memorials to the Hall of Mental Cultivation. When they got them back, they were either in tatters or a chaotic mess. The emperor’s comments were written right on the front: “Too many words. Can’t be bothered to read it.” “Nothing but nonsense!” “Empty-headed!” “Got nothing better to do?” The ministers’ eyes filled with tears. - Top’s perspective - “I want to make love to His Majesty, to hold him close and spend the night together.” “I’m in love with His Majesty.” “I want us to fall together.” [Reader’s guide] 1.
