Don't Come Any Closer!

An Xun has been unlucky ever since he was little.

His instant noodles come without seasoning packets, he steps on banana peels, loses his pen during exams, gets caught in the rain whenever he leaves home without an umbrella, and the water gets shut off just as he lathers himself up in the shower. He can even choke on a sip of water.

But that’s not the worst of it. The unluckiest part is that he can see the filthy things ordinary people can’t!

The elevator he’s riding in is often overloaded, even when he’s the only one inside.

The lights at home flicker on and off, and the faucet turns itself on and off.

Whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night, a crowd of unknown creatures is gathered around his bed.

His solitary life turns into communal living in an instant.

Then one day, all the strange creatures in his home disappear.

Before An Xun can even celebrate, he wakes up the next morning covered in little crimson spots.

When he showers, he always feels like someone is watching him from the shadows.

Someone takes a bite out of the food he’s eaten, too.

And whenever he sleeps, he feels as if he’s being held down by a ghost.

In his dreams, he keeps seeing a lecherous ghost who loves to bully him, all fierce and cool, biting and gnawing at him.

“Stay away from me!”
