Gu Jiu lowered his head and moved his lips without making a sound. In the end, under the pressure of the officer looming over him, he muttered, "I told you, but nobody would believe me."

An Zhouyuan's eyes shifted, and his heart softened. Lowering his voice, he said gently, "Gu Jiu, right? From now on, your Uncle Cop will believe whatever you say."

Wen Wen tensed. "What kind of surgery?"

"A heart transplant." He took Wen Wen's hand and pressed it to his chest. "You've lived here for five years. It's time I returned you to your rightful owner."
