Finding a Pixel Boyfriend in My Volleyball Life

After overtraining while trying to break through a plateau, Hiiragihara Rinne sprains her ankle. On a friend's recommendation, she starts playing a pixel game called My Volleyball Life.

The chibi character has two neighbors, one surnamed Iwaizumi and the other Oikawa.

Both play volleyball, but a dialogue bubble reading "..." keeps appearing above the chibi named Oikawa. He looks especially fragile and melancholy.

Rinne, a hopeless beauty enthusiast, gazes at Oikawa's gorgeous pixel sprite and rolls up her sleeves. Everyone appreciates beauty!

Watch her win the beauty's heart with her unbeatable double jump!

At seventeen, Oikawa is wondering whether to give up volleyball when he has a strange dream.

In the dream, he returns to the time when he first encountered volleyball in elementary school and meets a new friend, whom he calls Ellipsis.

Ellipsis can't speak and always communicates with pen and paper.

Ellipsis is strange. Sometimes he can double jump in place by kicking off with both feet, but at other times he moves as if he's only just gotten used to this body, all awkward limbs.

In the dream, he and Ellipsis play together through middle school. They beat Shiratorizawa by a huge margin and win the national tournament.

After waking, Oikawa stares at the ceiling. For the first time, he finds himself wanting to play volleyball with Ellipsis in real life.

But the next day, Oikawa has no dream.

Then, on the third day, he realizes that Ellipsis seems to have come out of the game to find him.

After discovering that his cyber crush has become a real crush, Oikawa is so embarrassed that he gets angry and declares that he hates Hiiragihara Rinne most of all. The mismatch between the setter and the ace leaves everyone at Aoba Johsai at their wits' end.

Until one day, the Aoba Johsai team spots Oikawa making out with the ace he claims to hate in a secluded corner.

Oikawa pairing. OOC warning.

Matches probably won't happen until high school, and they'll win the championship.

The male lead is the strongest character in the entire story.

The early chapters have a lot of fourth-wall-breaking gamer antics, but that will gradually fade later on.
