And so, while keeping up her tough-girl-sweetheart persona, Izayo began her slow journey solving cases.
What she found strange, though, was that [Fukana Izayo] was supposed to be in the career-track police corps, yet she'd been sent to the First Investigative Division to run errands.
Izayo: Let me see who's stopping me from lying around in the office!
System: Player, calm down. Look on the bright side. Isn't it easier to save Matsuda and keep him from dying this way?
On a whim, Izayo opened the System's affinity ratings:
Izayo: Why does Matsuda always have five stars...? Is he shallow enough to be a sucker for a pretty face?
Matsuda: Are you even listening to yourself?
Matsuda: Izayo, what would you have done if you hadn't become a police officer?
Izayo: I'd want a house.
Matsuda: ?
Izayo: Then I'd rent it out.

After entering the Black Organization storyline, the System mapped out three paths for the female lead:

3. Research
