Crossover: Every Secret Identity Is a Big Shot

Darkness before dawn, a shadow of nothingness in the starry night sky. A major new release from Aoki, the rising star of Japanese literature! The new novel was released amid great anticipation. Three days later, Japan’s crime rate rose, and countless criminals began treating the book as their creed. A rising star in the police force handled yet another case, while his colleagues complained about the recent increase in crime. Manager Poirot closely monitored developments. His computer inbox was flooded with emails from people trying to dig up related information. Meanwhile, the frail schoolgirl steered clear of the increasingly tense battleground, put aside the debut novel she had been working on, bought a ticket, and set off to visit her teacher under the pretext of making a pilgrimage. Seven days later All of Japan was discussing Aoki’s supposed descent into depravity... The eyes of every faction turned toward the place where the person who had never shown their face was staying. At the center of all the attention, Aoki issued a statement: The protagonist was based on a passerby I met while traveling in Tokyo, so the claim that I’m a criminal mastermind is utter nonsense. The day after the statement was released, ten days after the new book’s publication, several of the Tokyo-based police officers, managers, doctors, and others sent complaints: Right now, countless people from the underworld are heading to Tokyo to find the criminal mastermind from your book! Things in Tokyo have gotten even worse! At that moment, Aoki smiled indulgently at his adopted daughter. “Had enough fun?” The girl, who had been maneuvering among all sorts of people to complete her mission, showed no guilt about using them as human shields. She smiled faintly. “Sir, I just came to see you.” Her expression was gentle and composed, impossible to put into words. That’s me for you! Looking at her, Aoki secretly praised her: Even with a character like this, she hasn’t broken character! Theme: As a big shot, you have to keep up appearances
