I Faked My Death After Raising the Strongest Sorcerer

☆It may not mean much, but my obsessive-compulsive self has to tell everyone right up front: I carefully kept the total cost of buying every chapter of this book on Jinjiang to exactly 999 coins. [To make sure new readers have the best experience, if you’re rereading or on your third read, please don’t spoil anything in the early chapters. If you spot a spoiler, leave a comment summoning Sugar to delete it~] Blurb begins here The world’s foundation came under attack, so the Administration specially assigned its outstanding employee Matsushiro Kazuki to bind with a [Healthy Growth, Sunny Childhood] System. He was made personally responsible for the world’s important NPC, 5t5. To ensure the important NPC grew up healthy, Matsushiro Kazuki diligently followed the System’s core principle, [If I don’t die, who will?], for more than a decade. His hairline receded by several centimeters as he took countless attacks, both overt and covert, meant for 5t5 on the road to a safe childhood The Gojo heir’s personal companion, who died on the spot taking an assassination attempt meant for 5t5; the supervising assistant killed in one blow by a Special Grade cursed spirit that appeared out of nowhere; the only normal person among the higher-ups in the jujutsu world, who pushed through opposition to rank the young Gojo as Special Grade but died in the jujutsu world’s scheming; and the classmate who took a slash from the Heavenly Restriction tyrant for him, only to die beneath a Special Grade cursed tool. * After pouring his heart and soul into the job and giving it everything he had, Matsushiro Kazuki finally lived to see the young master Gojo turn eighteen. Without looking back, he uninstalled the System, reported to headquarters, and went to use the long vacation he’d saved up over more than a decade. Just as he finished the paperwork and was about to go on vacation, a senior official at the Administration called him on video, weeping and wailing as they told him that the important NPC, 5t5, had turned evil. Matsushiro Kazuki: ??? Are you messing with me? I spent eighteen years watching over him to make sure he grew up healthy, and he turned evil just days after I left? To keep the world running smoothly, Matsushiro Kazuki tearfully returned to his post and reloaded the System. Full of fighting spirit at the prospect of taking on the now-evil 5t5, he followed the procedure and randomly selected an identity. And got an ordinary person with no cursed energy. Standing amid ruins as far as the eye could see, unable to see cursed spirits without cursed energy, Matsushiro Kazuki thought: What’s the point of fighting…? We might as well let 5t5 turn evil and destroy the world. Then I can go back, submit my resignation, uninstall the System, and hand over the job. * 5t5 had never imagined he’d get to see the person he thought would never return again. He had changed his appearance once more. His hair fell past his shoulders, tied in a messy little ponytail at the back. His eyes were a light spring green, ringed with a shimmering gold. For a moment, he almost forgot how Matsushiro Kazuki had once lain in his arms again and again, losing his warmth each time. His little shrike had returned to his hand after more than a decade. This time, he would definitely… Wait. He couldn’t scare him. He had to pretend he didn’t know who he was. Satoru Gojo blinked, hiding the wildly twisted possessiveness in his pale blue eyes. He was willing to give up everything, as long as his little shrike would accept all of him. As long as he would stay. [A professional agency has been authorized to handle copyright enforcement. Updates are at midnight; if there’s nothing by midnight, it’ll be up in the early morning. If I’m still not happy with it then, I’ll post a leave notice and make up for it with two chapters the next day. orz ☆Devoted love, a nontraditional “chasing your wife to the crematorium” story. It’s not quite a sea of hatred, but there’ll definitely be heartache. ☆I’ll try to keep the timeline smooth. There may be out-of-character moments, but even if the King of Heaven himself showed up, this would still have a happy ending! Completed works: "The Character Setting Secret Identity Can’t Collapse", no pairing, everyone gets bullied~ "After Raising the Strongest Sorcerer, I Faked My Death", the jerk cat chases his wife to the crematorium~ Currently writing: "Guidelines for Acting in Rule-Based Horror Stories [Infinite]", a rule-based horror Infinite Flow secret identity story Next up: "Playing Creator in an Infinite Game", an Infinite Flow story about a programmer protagonist using a modifier "We Buddhist Cultivators Don’t Believe in Evil Gods", modern mysticism with Buddhist and Taoist elements + Chinese-style Lovecraftian horror You actually scrolled all the way down to read this, huh?
