Inumaki's Childhood Friend Came Back to Life Again

Please check the very bottom of the blurb for my other danmei fic, “[Genshin Impact] I Paid Too Much to Get Into the Character Banner” qwq Inumaki’s childhood friend is alive. Missing for seven years, with every sign pointing to a death with no body ever found, only Toge Inumaki still held on to that tiny, almost invisible thread of hope. He waited, and waited, for seven years. Then, seven years later, Inumaki’s “presumed dead” childhood friend suddenly appeared from some obscure corner of nowhere, smiled warmly at him, and said hi. Inumaki: “T-T-T-T-T-Tuna!!!” (Tuna: There’s something important I need you to pay attention to.) * “Can I poke the cursed speech markings on Toge’s tongue?” “Dried bonito!” “Then I won’t poke them. Can I just touch them?” “Dried bonito!” Inumaki crossed his hands into a big X, firmly rejecting Kutsuki Natsuka’s idea. “Then can Toge give me a kiss?” Inumaki reluctantly turned to look at Kutsuki Natsuka beside him. Her pale gray eyes were filled with earnestness and anticipation. He softly uttered two words. “Close your eyes.” Under the influence of his cursed speech, Natsuka closed her eyes... “Again!” “Dried bonito!” * 1. Original male protagonist, sweet on the outside, dark on the inside. 2. Expect a mountain of headcanons and out-of-character moments. 3. Inumaki pairing, happy ending. 4. Cover image from a forum. Coming soon “[Genshin Impact] I Paid Too Much to Get Into the Character Banner” In a sentence: How to Become a Fake God I’m Shizuki Shiki. I’m an orphan with a congenital illness, a resident of Teyvat who doctors have said since childhood is destined not to live past eighteen. As my body gradually failed, at sixteen I could clearly feel my life slipping away. Just when I thought all I could do was wait for death, something called “bullet comments” inexplicably appeared before my eyes. The Teyvat I live in is a gacha game, and I’m just an unnamed passerby who dies young of illness, someone who never even appeared in the game :). From what the bullet comments reveal, it seems that in a gacha game, every character who gets added to a banner receives a temporary get-out-of-death-free card. Before I die at eighteen, I’ve decided to become a named character in the bullet comments, get added to a banner, and claim a temporary get-out-of-death-free card. [New character! A boy with black hair and silver eyes. I’m dying, he’s so handsome, so why is he doing a pyramid scheme? Any insiders want to spill the tea about our new hubby?] [The new story leaks don’t mention the new character who flashed by in the story, or the Archon he’s promoting like a pyramid scheme.] Shizuki Shiki: The leaked story happened in real life. I think I’ve discovered something interesting. (rubs chin) [With that face, you’re telling me he’s just an ordinary character without a Vision?! I don’t believe it!] [With those character models, you’re telling me he’s just an ordinary, sickly boy who won’t be added to a banner to make money?! I don’t believe it!] Shizuki Shiki: Don’t believe it [Congenital illness, protecting others in danger, saying he’s destined to die before eighteen and his life isn’t worth much. MHY’s heartbreaking stories are as brutal as ever. They really deserve to die.] [That Archon Shiki’s been promoting like a pyramid scheme seems to actually exist.] Shizuki Shiki: Guess :) Theme: A story about slowly getting better
