After the Four Emperors Rejected Me, I Decided to Become the Sea King

After my captain rejected my confession, I was so embarrassed that I ran away from home. After staying with one of the captain’s friends for a year, I figured enough time had passed that I could go back without anything happening. But then my bastard captain started having heart-to-heart talks with me and casually trying to set me up with people, as if he were preparing to marry me off. Furious, I ran away to his friend’s house for a second time, only to find someone else there… Even my new caretaker, who seemed so proper, already had another kid! How can there be nowhere for me in this huge world? I get it now. I’m unwanted wherever I go. So I’ve made up my mind: I’m going to get stronger! Please note: 1. This is a spin-off of Forced to Become One of the Four Emperors, an impulsive what-if about what would happen if Xiao Qian were one of Shanks’s crew. 2. This is a short story focused mainly on the romance, written on a whim. 3. The pairing is with Red-Hair, but just like the title says, there are lots of routes. The story mostly follows her womanizing ways, so Red-Hair doesn’t get that much screen time. Most of their romance is in the extras. Blurb archived on September 16; starting this year. 4. As usual, please don’t mention my work under someone else’s story, or someone else’s work under mine. If this story isn’t for you, just drop it. I write fanfiction for my own enjoyment and won’t change it based on anyone else’s opinions. Theme: A young woman realizes that knowing her own worth and growing as a person are what matter most.
