But being a lovesick fool is part of my character setting, and I can't change it. As a nameless background character in "Detective Conan," my only trait is being a lovesick fool. Since I couldn't change my lovesick-fool setting, I'd approach it from another angle: As long as I fall out of love and move on fast enough, I can break up with my current partner before they do, and my lovesick-fool tendencies will transfer to the next lover! To make my escape from the Organization look convincing, I decide to return to my old line of work: play the lovesick fool, be dumped by a core member of the Organization, then die by suicide, heartbroken. Who could resist giving this genius idea a like?! Reading Guide: 1. The protagonist is a looks enthusiast and won't "fall in love" with anyone unattractive, so there's no need to worry about the CP. 2. I'll try to stay faithful to the original and avoid going out of character. 3. Chapters are being written in advance. It will probably start in December. As the police academy group watches, she sits on the balcony railing in a red dress, teetering on the brink of a fall.] Secret Identity No. 3 [A handsome, pale-skinned adult man, apparently suffering from a blood disorder. He is gentle yet distant.] System: I admit, you really know how to choose character settings! The forum readers never stop shouting, "X-chan, my wife, don't get written out!" "I don't want angst, boo-hoo!" "The femme fatale is the best!" System: ... What a bunch of suckers. You fatten a sheep before slaughtering it. The same goes for forum readers and mission-takers. The System watches helplessly as its ruthless Host pulls the strings, first pushing a mission-taker's reputation to its peak, then yanking him down hard when he's at the top. Using the kingdom built by the mission-taker as a stepping stone, the Host reaps an enormous amount of reputation. The forum readers have it the worst. They've been fleeced who knows how many times. Every time the ruthless Host changes identities and starts over, the readers fall for it again. It takes two to tango. Oh well. The System's home has already been stolen, and the forum is completely incapable of keeping the Host in line. The Host can do whatever he wants. It's still that same bastard Muzan. None of the bad things he did in the past will be whitewashed. In this life, influenced by the plot, he'll learn how to be a better demon. 3.
