#Check out my upcoming story, When I Bound Myself to the Plot Maintenance System, an Akira/Red Team IF route#

[Check out my friend’s story, Clinging to the Police Academy Squad with an Old-School Script, by Muyulu]

Matsuda was the original crush of the police academy squad. After dying once, he returned to the past and bound himself to the [Wish System], hoping to save his childhood friend.

The [Wish System] worked on a one-for-one exchange. By granting the wishes of its “viewers” through livestreaming, he could eventually earn enough to make a wish that would save his childhood friend’s life.

Matsuda accepted the terms. On his first day back in the past, he received his first wish.

Viewer One: [Please beat up the superintendent general!!!]

Matsuda: ...Isn’t that a bit much?

Viewer Two: [Please give the superintendent general a hug!!]

Matsuda: Okay, I’ll go beat him up right now.

Viewer Three: [Wear a Hawaiian shirt and smoke and drink in front of the superintendent general!]

Matsuda: You people really have it in for the superintendent general, huh?

Viewer Four: [Write heartfelt love letters and confess to each of your future coworkers!]

Matsuda: You can keep picking fights with the superintendent general instead...!

As the wishes grew more and more outrageous, Matsuda fell silent. Were these people trying to get their wishes granted, or were they trying to make him die of embarrassment?

But for the sake of saving his childhood friend, Matsuda gritted his teeth and did every last one of them.

And so Matsuda became a one-of-a-kind legend in the history of the police academy.

Hagiwara: I know Little Jinpei is a bit of a wild one, but... he wasn’t like this before, was he?

Matsuda: ...Who do you think I’m doing this for?

After they finally got through the incident that was supposed to kill his childhood friend, Matsuda immediately discovered that two of his other buddies were going to die, too.

Matsuda smiled serenely. “Go ahead and die if you want. I’m done!” (flips table)

Highly Recommended: Some Ratings Contain Spoilers

[I’m a protagonist enthusiast, and most of these focus on the main plot] I’ve read every one of these and highly recommend them. No warnings for potential dealbreakers, so please stop reading if they’re not to your taste. Thanks! (A few of them have some angst.)

Finished or Interested (Recommended or Not)

A mixed bag of crossovers with the DC and Marvel universes, Detective Conan fanfiction, original BL, no-romance stories, and Harry Potter. This list is really just a record of what I've read (?) so I wrote these descriptions however I pleased.

These are the Detective Conan fanfics that perfectly match my tastes. They inevitably have flaws, and I'm not going to hold back. If I criticize one of your favorites, let me apologize in advance. The list is in no particular order.

Have You Listened to Bill Evans Today?

Listening to jazz piano without Bill Evans is as tasteless as reading the original without shipping the canon pairing. Just a personal preference, for my own use as the extreme, purity-obsessed fanfic girl you hate most.

Conan, Song, Jujutsu Kaisen, Gojo, and Bungou Stray Dogs. I'm a Matsuda Jinpei fan, and I don't ship him as the bottom. The full-length version is next door.

Gen, BG, and BL. I like Matsuda, Gintoki, Gojo, Dazai, and others. I generally don't read stories focused on the bottom. Plenty to choose from. The curated version is next door. Check for your own dealbreakers and preferences.

Male Leads: No CP / Danmei

Books I like, both male-male romance and non-romance. Most focus on plot, with injured or sickly characters. These are purely my personal preferences, but the writing is all good and well worth reading!
