Do You Think Scotland Cares? He Spent Four Years Killing Fish at the Distillery. His Heart Is as Cold as the Knife He Used to Kill Them

Mingrijian Chengchuan joined a tech company and took over a project from a senior colleague who had just resigned. [Project name: The Can't-Go-Hungry App] [Marketing Department's assessment: After extensive research and discussion, we believe there is no lasting market for an at-home chef service. We recommend pivoting to an app for home food delivery.] Mingrijian Chengchuan, rich kid, can't cook, lives alone: Honestly, I think this project has a lot of potential. Before his predecessor left, the app had already entered testing. Since the project wasn't considered promising, Mingrijian Chengchuan was the only newly hired intern on the project team. He began testing the app by himself. Step one: Order a chef to come cook at home. [...] [Chef Scotch] [Chef Bourbon] [Chef Gin] [Chef Vodka] [Chef Chianti] [Chef Korn] [...] Looking at the list of liquor names, Mingrijian Chengchuan fell into thought. What an unusual restaurant style. + The Black Organization's IT department developed a new System that allowed clients to select members by codename online to carry out missions. Scotch was the first hitman selected through the new System. [Mission target: Mingrijian Chengchuan] [Location: Beika Town, Second Street, No. XX] When he arrived at the mission site, Scotch fell into thought. The client and the target looked exactly alike. His hit job had instantly turned into a suicide. “Chef Scotch, you're finally here!” “I feel like having fish. Thanks for doing this!” Scotch carefully killed a fish and cooked three dishes and a soup. The next day, Scotch received another familiar order. On the third day, the client and target were still the same. On the fourth day... On the fifth day... At first, Scotch: Don't bother me, I'm thinking. Later, Scotch: Don't bother me, I'm grilling. + Three months later, an Organization IT technician who had quit a major tech company three months earlier stared at a piece of code in the Organization's website System for booking an at-home chef, lost in thought. ...Wait, where's the code I wrote for selecting hitmen online?!! + One day, Mingrijian Chengchuan suddenly had the idea to invite a chef other than Chef Scotch to cook at his home... [About how the knife skills of the chef I hired might have come from killing people rather than filleting fish] [by Mingrijian Chengchuan] [Reader's Guide] ★The timeline is around the year before Conan's story begins. Everyone is alive in this world; no one dies. Jingguang's identity has not been exposed, and Shuichi has defected and appears in the story wearing his Subaru Okiya disguise. The protagonist has no secret identity or hidden backstory. He's just an ordinary person who doesn't get involved in, know about, or care about anything related to the Red and Black sides. He occasionally uses his money to get things done. ★A short slice-of-life story, half comedy and half sweet romance. The pairing is Jingguang. I only planned to write a few tens of thousands of words for fun and didn't think too much about how the two of them got together, so the main story just glosses over it. Maybe I'll go back and fill in the details someday. ★The Black-side alternate-universe bonus chapters are mostly unrelated to the main story. Read them if you like. Theme: Eat well and live well
