Will the mage defeat his opponent with magic first, or will the warrior close in and interrupt the spell before the incantation is complete? Let's wait and se, hold on! Wait a minute! Why is the mage charging forward with his staff?!”

“??? What just happened? Have my eyes been hit with an illusion spell? Why did I just see that delicate, frail mage catch a warrior's greatsword with one hand?!”

“The mage just swung his staff and sent the strongest warrior from another academy flying?! Why does that staff work like a two-handed greatsword?!”

“Oh my goodness! Light God above! What did I just see?! The mage pulled a sword out of his staff?!”

Notes*:

1. The protagonist is not Merlin. He's simply carrying on the fine tradition that mages should fight in close combat.

2. The protagonist is a genuine human, 24-karat pure human, not a nonhuman race. He's an ordinary, exceptionally talented mage-warrior.

3. The story focuses more on the plot. The romance takes up less space, but it's there.

4. This is not a no-romance story, and it won't be changed to one. One-on-one pairing: Toran, an introverted, gloomy shut-in. Some side characters will have unrequited feelings, but the pairing won't change.

5. Updates are daily unless something comes up. Check the top of the blurb for special circumstances. The update time varies and could be anytime.

My teammates had kept him occupied, so he never got to witness my dazzling forbidden spell... Honestly, I was a little disappointed when I died. That guy was a menace while alive, and I died too quickly to drag him down to hell with me.

And so I died.

Then, fifty years after my death, something inexplicable happened.

My archenemy was still alive, and for some reason he'd gone completely mad... He suddenly brought me back to life.
