Blurb:
Ever since Senior Ran's boyfriend took a long leave from school, she's been gloomy every day. Even the company of her best friend, the second young lady of the Suzuki Conglomerate, can't dispel the sorrow between her brows.
As a younger student who's admired Senior Ran and followed her around ever since she joined the karate club, I feel it's my duty to help the gentle, beautiful, and strong senior with her troubles, and take advantage of her vulnerability (not really).
For instance, I call her a dozen times a day to check in on her. When I have time, I go to her house and keep her company while she's down because she can't reach her boyfriend. I also make frequent trips to the Mouri Detective Agency to help her out with the job of looking after her useless dad, who can't take care of himself.
Senior Ran is grateful to me, and we're getting closer and closer. I just don't know why the little brat staying at her house keeps glaring at me with such a wary, gritted-teeth expression.
It's ridiculous. I'm only a little taller, a little more handsome, and have a slightly deeper voice. People often mistake me for a handsome guy. Why does he treat me like I'm a wolf? What's wrong with a beautiful girl making a female best friend? What's wrong with that!
But fate always brings both fortune and misfortune. Just as I was overjoyed to have earned the title of "Senior Ran's bestie," the damn System, which had played dead ever since I came here, suddenly came back to life and inexplicably popped up with a long-term, open-ended mission.
[Mission: Don't Become a Victim]
[Description: Congratulations, you've made your way under the glow of the Grim Reaper's aura. You're now the perfect candidate for such high-risk roles as eyewitness, unlucky bystander, human shield, innocent passerby who gets caught in the crossfire, hostage used for leverage... From here on, give it everything you've got to stay alive!]
Note*: The protagonist's family name is Tianhai and her given name is Maki (of course a girl who wants to become a top male-role performer should be named Tianhai!). Maki is pronounced the same as the feminine name Maki in Japanese. The name was chosen to suit my tastes.
The protagonist is a stunningly handsome woman, one year below Ran Mouri, and devoted to her as a friend.
She's tall, long-legged, broad-shouldered, and slim-waisted. She can pull off both a deep, captivating male voice and a sweet puppy-like voice. Her face is unbelievably handsome, she's both girly and boyish, and she has a gentlemanly nature that's in her DNA. Even when she has to hug a girl in an unusual situation, she instinctively keeps her hands chaste.
But she's straight, haha.
Her plan is to finish high school and audition for Takarazuka, with the dream of becoming a top male-role performer within a few years. Instead, she's stuck forever in high school in the world of Detective Conan.
Here's a taste of my tastes: men are better when they're women!
And a major warning: the protagonist doesn't know the plot, and she's part of the same generation as the high school students. The person she knows best is Ran Mouri, so before she and Ran meet, the characters she hasn't met are truly nonexistent to her.
Note*: Recommended for readers who have no particular content warnings. This story is multifaceted, and the author especially likes all kinds of pairings. I'll write anything and everything.
