When Lin En woke up in another world, he already had a whole new identity in this world of dragons and fairies. A freshman in the magic department at a school dedicated to training mages and warriors. Looking at the alchemical script on his magic school acceptance letter, Lin En fell into deep thought. Everyone knows that learning magic costs a fortune. And this new version of Lin En was so broke that even his old life, where he only had to feed himself, seemed luxurious. He couldn't even afford a basic staff. Lin En: "..." With no other choice, he had to find a part-time job. As a powerless freshman with no connections and no particular talents, he couldn't brew potions, and nobody would teach him alchemy. After losing countless hairs over his empty wallet, Lin En finally found the quickest way he could make money. Substitute teaching for the swordsmanship department next door. So it should be perfectly normal if he ends up as an utterly ordinary mage who can lift a massive cauldron, right? Excerpt: "Honored members of the royal family and nobility, mages and warriors, welcome to the All-Continent Mages and Warriors Elite Academy Joint Tournament! We are currently in the one-on-one individual match mode!" "We're witnessing an exciting match between a mage and a warrior. Both are top-ranked competitors from their respective academies. Will the mage defeat the opponent with magic first, or will the warrior get close and interrupt the spell before the mage finishes chanting? Let's wait and see, Wait? Hold on! Why is the mage charging in with his staff?!!!" "??? What just happened? Did someone cast an illusion spell on my eyes? Why did I just see that frail, delicate mage catch the warrior's greatsword with one hand?!!!" "The mage actually swung his staff and sent the strongest warrior from another academy flying?!!! Why does that staff handle like a two-handed greatsword?!!!" "Oh heavens! By the Light God's name! What did I just see?!!! The mage pulled a sword out of his staff?!!!!!!" Thesis: No matter how far you've gone, I'll always come back to find you.
