Playing House with Dazai

A sharp-tongued coward, Takanashi, X an even more sharp-tongued coward, Aoki. High school Dazai. The troublesome Dazai swallows a mermaid scale and is cursed to turn into “Dazai Fishy” whenever he touches water. Takanashi Riko is forced into a partnership with the Bandage-Wasting Device, and has to keep him going in his daily life. Riko, gleeful: Dazai, here's a scary story. From now on, whenever you touch water, you'll grow scales. If you stay in it, you'll turn into a little goldfish. That's the curse of swallowing a scale. Dazai, his eyes losing their shine: How could this be Riko, sneering: From now on, you're not No Longer Human. You're No Longer Allowed to Get In Water! And so begins her chaotic domestic life with Dazai Fishy [crossed out], and her path to defying fate and saving everyone! - After everyone settles into a peaceful everyday life, Takanashi Riko realizes: Is she the only one who has to go to school? Absolutely not! “Everyone's coming to school with me!” The Silver Wolf looks at the great detective. “No, no, no! The great detective is already 18!!!” The new head of the Port Mafia, Mr. Mori, looks at the bandage freak. Mori: If you don't join the Port Mafia, Dazai-kun, you can go to school. Dazai, solemnly: I think the Port Mafia could really use an excellent employee like me. But Mr. Mori never imagined that the diamond he longed for but could never get, Dazai, would one day sprawl across the sofa and ask him, looking troubled, “Mr. Mori, could I go to school and become a high school girl?” Mori, pupils trembling: What on earth did they teach you at school, Osamu Dazai! 1. A Mary Sue story, with my take on high school Aoki Dazai. OOC is inevitable, all in service of the plot. 2. Bungo Stray Dogs + Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun + Jujutsu Kaisen. I mainly want to write about everyone's chaotic daily lives and school life. The early chapters focus on everyday life, with school starting around chapter 85. 3. A slow-burning, long-form story of a couple bickering as they fall in love, with a leisurely pace. An everyday-life story aiming to give everyone a theoretically happy ending. Feel free to add this to your collection if you enjoy long, sprawling stories. [I'm not joking XD] Here's a preview of my next book. I've finished the rough outline and started stockpiling chapters. "I Became Mr. Dazai's Stalker" Chihori, who gets baited and hooked but thinks she's the stalker, X Dazai, a true black-hearted schemer who always stays in control [Stalker, abbreviated as STK, means someone who follows and harasses another person. It is a loanword in Japanese, rendered “sutoka” because of how it sounds.] Unable to communicate normally with people, Chihori moves back to Yokohama. Every night, she sneakily helps her neighbor, Mr. Dazai, take care of his trash. But his trash sorting is a total disaster! It's one thing to mix crab shells with bottles of liquor, but how could there be roses and jewelry in there, too? When she misses the correct day for taking out the trash, she can only keep it at home in silence until the right day comes around. That's why she has left Mr. Dazai several notes to remind him. [I've been keeping an eye on you. Leaving trash outside is bad. I took it out for you.] [XX brand bandages are more breathable.] [Don't put food waste and recyclables in the same bag. Use the designated garbage bags.] “It's like someone suspicious is watching you. You should be careful, too, Chihori,” says the honest and kind Mr. Dazai. Chihori, who still keeps Mr. Dazai's old clothes at home, is horrified. Help, she didn't mean to! She only wanted to help Mr. Dazai. She's really not a stalker! Message: The simple, quiet life is the best
