A Spring Day Love Poem

Chu Yi was adopted by a family at the age of eight.

She grew up with the two Yang brothers next door. Yang Yinzhou was the older brother, eight years her senior, and had always been the pride of everyone around him.

As an adult, Yang Yinzhou smoothly entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and became a promising young diplomat, while Chu Yi was just an ordinary high school art teacher.

Their backgrounds and social standing couldn't have been more different.

The year she graduated from college, Chu Yi followed her elders' arrangements and registered her marriage to Yang Yinzhou.

The day after their wedding, Yang Yinzhou was sent abroad for work. He didn't come home for nearly three years, and the two of them spoke privately only a handful of times.

With no love in the marriage, Chu Yi couldn't be bothered to keep up appearances. It suited her just fine.

But three years flew by.

His overseas assignment ended, and Yang Yinzhou was transferred back to China.

The day he returned, his family prepared a lavish meal and welcomed him home with smiles, celebrating his return. Chu Yi was the only one who felt uneasy.

Though she was his wife, after three years apart she was no different from a stranger.

She had no idea how to get along with him from then on.
