A Letter from the Snow

Please add my next novel, "Springtime Wishes," to your reading list, and please leave a five-star review. [Marriage first, love later, slow-burn daily life | Seven-year age gap] [Weibo: @Chu Li Ya] Synopsis: Three years after graduating, Wen Yi had spent two years being pressured to marry. In the third year, to dodge blind dates, she made up a boyfriend. Her "boyfriend" was originally handsome, from a good family, and a local. Little by little, she embellished him into someone gentle and considerate, respectful toward his siblings, with loving parents. When her mother repeatedly told her to bring her boyfriend home, she was stumped. Where was she supposed to find him? After hearing about it, a friend introduced her to someone who perfectly fit her requirements. Jin Yuhan, a prosecutor, was tough in his investigations, strictly professional, and hard to approach. Everyone was afraid of him. Jin Yuhan was happy to help her keep up the lie. Their marriage was rushed, but they unexpectedly hit it off. She thought they were simply a perfect match, until one of Jin Yuhan's friends came over. The moment he walked in, the friend loudly complained that Jin Yuhan had changed since getting married. He never went to work, just stayed home, and had disappeared from all their gatherings. Jin Yuhan carefully sorted and filed the signature pages Wen Yi had left scattered around the previous night. Frowning, he said, "Keep it down. She's just fallen asleep." Standing behind the door, Wen Yi sank into thought. She couldn't understand why someone as perfect as Jin Yuhan would choose to love someone as stubborn and solitary as her. Later, on the night of the first snowfall in Altay, Wen Yi called Jin Yuhan. Once he answered, neither of them spoke. They sat in silence for a long time. Wen Yi looked at the heavy snow outside the window and asked him, "Jin Yuhan, why did you fall in love with me?" After a long pause, he slowly replied, "I tried to stop myself." - Even in the vast desert, the dawn is just as dazzling. What that means is that the female lead made up a man who doesn't exist, and the male lead takes his place and becomes real.
