Enthralled

The media is abuzz with rumors that Lu Qinian, the leading figure among the business elite, has married Yun Chu, the spoiled and willful eldest daughter of the Yun family.

On the day they registered their marriage, the two came out of the civil affairs bureau, fell silent for three seconds, then turned around at the same time.

Yun Chu got into her Maserati.

Lu Qinian opened the door of his Rolls-Royce and drove away.

Netizen: They're so in sync!

Netizen: This is obviously a marriage of convenience!!

Netizen: How could Lu Qinian like Yun Chu!? He'd have to be crazy to like that young lady!!!

**

One day, Lu Qinian shows up at a dinner party without touching a drop of alcohol.

Someone asks in surprise, "Why aren't you drinking, Mr. Lu?"

Lu Qinian smiles faintly. "I have to drive later, so it wouldn't be convenient."

"..." What are chauffeurs for?

Before the party is over, Lu Qinian glances at his watch and rises gracefully.

Someone asks, "Leaving already, Mr. Lu?"

Lu Qinian replies warmly, "Something's come up. I have to pick up a little one."

With half an hour before Yun Chu's class ends, Lu Qinian rushes over by car, but still arrives two minutes late.

The young lady stands beside the car, holding a book and looking at him reproachfully.

Lu Qinian loosens his tie, steps out in his suit, rubs her head, and pulls her into his arms. It takes him ages to soothe her.

In the end, this photo goes viral everywhere.

Netizen: Excuse me!?

Netizen: So much for the marriage of convenience???

At the start of their marriage, Lu Qinian thinks he's married a spoiled young lady who makes a scene over everything. They keep to themselves, which is so convenient. He's satisfied.

A few months later, Lu Qinian realizes he's basically married a little ancestor, and spends every day coaxing her to come home :)
