Valkyrie Pastry Shop

[Upcoming story: Eerie Farm. Blurb at the end.] When the Empire's Valkyrie, Shanzhu, decides to leave the Central Star, she receives a letter from the wasteland planet Jiaotu. Her aunt, who raised her, has left her a pastry shop in her will and asked her to look after her three children. The letter also comes with a System. This System, which claims to have transmigrated from another world, has every lost pastry recipe and rare ingredient from Earth's era. But according to the principle of equivalent exchange, Shanzhu can only unlock new recipes as sales grow. She also has to trade precious minerals for an automatic dessert-making machine. A greedy System's eyes gleam. "Of course, besides the necessary expenses, there's my hard-earned fee..." The impoverished, penniless retired Valkyrie, with nothing in her sleeves, thinks for a moment, then heads out to rob a band of space pirates. She drags their ship back and tears off its outer armor with her bare hands. "Is this enough?" System: "It's enough for the machine, but my hard-earned fee..." Shanzhu: "Hmm?" System: "It's enough! Thank you, Master! You've worked so hard!" At first, all she wants is to teach the children a way to make a living, as her aunt asked. But things gradually take a turn she never expected: Her first cousin, Lizhi, is her aunt's biological daughter, born after she eloped while pregnant following a falling-out with an agricultural planet's domineering CEO. Her second cousin, Migua, was entrusted to her aunt by a dying woman during an elopement while pregnant. He's actually the only blood descendant of the former ruler of the war-torn Beast King Planet, and he can turn into a fluffy beast. Her third cousin, Pingguo, is a bionic android found in an abandoned dump. It developed self-awareness and once plotted to destroy humanity. Shanzhu: "..." Auntie, are you some legendary heroine? Just look at the things you've brought home! A certain male lead: "You're not so bad yourself. I guess it's a family tradition." #My peaceful retirement has turned into a melodramatic mess# #Wasn't this supposed to be just a food story?# Reader's guide: 1. A freewheeling food story, with a moderate focus on running a business. 2. Includes family and romance plotlines. The male lead isn't just window dressing. On the surface, Shanzhu spoils everyone; in reality, everyone spoils Shanzhu. [Upcoming story: Eerie Farm] At first, An Sha just downloaded an ordinary farming game from an ad. Then it transformed into a horror game. Can things like ghost-head lily, dragon's eyeballs, and forbidden hearts really grow in a field? After complaining that the game's ad had misrepresented it, An Sha tossed her phone aside. The next day, a familiar ghost-head lily sprouted in the pot on her windowsill. An Sha: "..." It's a little scary, but kind of cute? An Sha tries listing these plants as products in the game and fulfills a few orders. Though the art style is eerie, it's not that different from an ordinary idle farming game. The only difference is that the currency looks like drops of blood, and sometimes comes with grisly byproducts like bloodstained buttons, strands of hair, or daggers. The customer reviews are a little strange too. Which: Captain, Captain, is that you?! I knew you'd come save me! Safe Travels: Investigator No. 298 of the Polar Night Squad requests to speak with you. Ms. An Sha, are you conscious? Please respond, please respond! Qi: Where are you? I'll come find you. I'll find you, no matter what. An Sha looks confused. Does this little farming game have NPC storylines too? More importantly, her upstairs neighbor seems to be chopping meat every day, making the ceiling shake. It's time to go complain! City A is a dead city, the earliest to fall during the era of eerie resurgence, and the lair of countless eerie creatures. It has long been confirmed that no signs of life remain there. It is sealed off by enormous vines, barring anyone from entering and keeping the eerie creatures trapped inside. This is the final ability of An Sha, plant-type ability user and captain of the Special Operations Division's Cycle Squad: "Divine Lock." Then one day, a door suddenly opens. On that same day, the life marker of Captain An Sha, who had long since perished in City A, lights up once more. Theme: The art of delicious pastries
