Yuan Yueshi was randomly assigned an Onmyoji System.

Having seen his fair share of ups and downs in anime and novels, Yuan Yueshi remained unusually calm. "So, what do you need me to do?"

System: "Young man, go save those anime worlds that have been transmigrated into one too many times, and become a true Great Onmyoji while you're at it!"

Yuan Yueshi: "..."

With his liver aching faintly, Yuan Yueshi felt that he was doomed.

And so, every day his life started looking like this:

"I never expected that the silver Shiba Inu I casually adopted all those years ago would become a monster general. Come to think of it, what should his son call me?"

"The eighth Heroic Spirit is Seimei?"

"My teacher's coming to visit. Uncle, can you turn into my dad?"

"Urgent mission: stop the century-long battle between the lost Kiri and the Lake Toya sword!"

"I'm the Onmyoji Seimei, but definitely not that golden, muscular guy..."

Yuan Yueshi: Exhausted and spitting blood.

"Always Mistaken for Beautiful and Tragic on the App," formerly titled "With the Detective App, I Tear Up the Script"]

After transmigrating, Aotori Shou received an app called the Detective App, which bound itself to him.

The app came with features like detective games and a research forum for the detective world.

The character in its detective-themed Mario game turned out to be one of his fellow trainees. The available characters in its detective-themed virtual pet game even included a hard-working member of a certain liquor company, and even Angry Birds had become a battle game between the Red and Black sides.

He had thought the app was just for casual gaming, but then its System told Aotori Shou that if he completed missions in the detective world and a topic about him topped the final vote, he would be rewarded with a complete resurrection.

To stay alive, Aotori Shou put on his secret identities and worked like crazy.

His close friends from the police academy disappeared in the winter of their first year, becoming sunlight from the past that he could never touch again.

The top scholar Granville, who manipulated people's hearts, ultimately died because of the sorrowful nature of humanity.

The most unhinged undercover agent in the liquor company gave everything to protect justice, never living to see the dawn he had brought about himself.

Before anyone knew that all three were Aotori Shou's secret identities, the forum was deeply shaken by the newly released alternate-timeline comic.

[Forum:

I have every reason to suspect that Shou and Granville were both killed by Umeshu. Sob, give me back my two favorites, you lunatic!

That bastard Umeshu actually exposed everyone's secret identities? He can say Toru's real name in front of Gin?

The way that troublemaker Umeshu looks like he's in control of everything makes it hard not to wonder if he's connected to the liquor company's boss!

I'm here on my second read, just quietly saying that the number of times you'll cry over this bastard will keep piling up...

?!! What... what do you mean by that?!]

Aotori Shou successfully made everyone misunderstand him so badly that countless threads sprang up about how beautiful and tragic he was, and the votes soared.

Just as he was starting to relax, he received a private message from the app.

[Following the official vote, the topics #Liquor Company Boss Umeshu# and #Hope Aotori Shou Is Resurrected, Checking In Every Day# have both met the requirements for fulfillment. App holder, please prepare...]

Aotori Shou: Wait, both at the same time?! Are you kidding me?

He hadn't meant to let everyone misunderstand him to this extent!
