[The story is complete. Please give it five stars! Character profiles are at @Lu Wang Jiang. Comments from readers who steal and repost the story are not welcome. The cover features the uke.] In an era of peace, an Alpha is synonymous with wealth and status. The obscure Beta Ning Suiyuan is bullied wherever he goes and has no choice but to struggle through life under the protection of Ji Heng, the Empire's top elite Alpha. Then the apocalypse arrives. Ji Heng overrides everyone's objections and brings Ning Suiyuan under his command. The other Alphas are unhappy and spread rumors everywhere that the two have an illicit relationship. Until Ning Suiyuan becomes an invincible sword, emerging from the smoke of battle and tossing two broken flame guns onto the ground. He says coldly, "Don't they make a model with a little more durability?" The Alphas are stunned: We were blind! Our minds were filthy! Sir Ji is fair and wise, and Brother Yuan is fucking amazing! Only later do they realize the great demon king had merely fallen asleep and woken up again. - Six months after the crisis is put down, Officer Ning skips his own inauguration ceremony. When questioned by all sides, Ji Heng, the person closest to him, smiles and says, "It's fine. He just got his heat cycle wrong." Everyone: ? Shocking! The god-tier Beta Ning Suiyuan, who can beat so many Alphas, isn't a Beta at all! He's an Omega!! Ning Suiyuan will never forget the rainy night he suddenly presented. Surrounded on all sides, the Alpha kisses the back of his neck and murmurs gently: "Let me bite you, and you can survive." An instructor who can be as cheeky as he likes but is always the most Alpha in the room, gong VS a purehearted uke whose intelligence and combat ability are both demon-king level. Important Reading Notes 1. ABO, no children. Alpha/Omega pairing, 1v1. 2. A fictional future setting with a touch of cyberpunk. More made-up worldbuilding than you can shake a stick at. Dual focus on plot and romance. 3. This is a novel, not an encyclopedia. The setting is only briefly explained because I don't want to interrupt the reading experience, not because the author doesn't know it. Please don't nitpick or argue. Thank you. His greatest wish is to change his fate by passing the college entrance exam and becoming a military doctor. On the day the results come out, however, he receives three devastating pieces of news. One: His admission was rigged, and his place was given to an official's Omega child. Two: The person who took his place is his best friend Qi Chen's fiancee. Three: Not only does Qi Chen refuse to stand up for him, he tells him, "Let it go. Everyone has it hard." Qu Qingran: "Hard, my ass! Who's the victim here?" Later, he learns that Alpha Qi Chen and that Omega have highly compatible pheromones and are naturally attracted to each other. It turns out he's the real fool. By chance, he becomes friends with He Xu, an illegitimate son of the He Group. Young Master He is stunningly handsome, but he doesn't react to Omega pheromones. All looks and no use, he's been summoned home by the old man to serve as a pawn, and is a notorious cannon fodder in their circles. When He Xu hears about Qu Qingran's predicament, he suggests, "If I were you, I'd become a nurse." Everyone: A male nurse? Hahahaha, that's hilarious! Qu Qingran really does enroll in nursing school. Later, he accompanies He Xu's expedition team into remote mountains and across vast seas, to foreign lands, where he earns unparalleled military honors. Later still, he becomes a renowned "blade" in the military, with exquisite medical skills and absolute authority to choose his patients. Sitting in his luxurious private office, he smiles as he tears up the promotion papers of an old acquaintance who once held his nose high but now keeps his head bowed. "Throw him out!" - Qu Qingran doesn't know that Qi Chen, whom he considers his best friend, has secretly loved him for years. After Qi Chen changes his mind and corners him on his way to work, Qu Qingran only manages to get away thanks to He Xu's help. To show his gratitude, Qu Qingran opens a bottle of his treasured wine and invites He Xu over. "Commander He, you may not be much good in bed, but your pheromones are amazing!" Remembering his ex's dejected retreat, the beautiful Beta doctor raises his glass and says, "Thanks for letting me have my way with you. I'll drink it all, you can have as much as you like!" When he wakes up, he is sitting on a disheveled bed, piecing together the wild drunken hookup. His worldview collapsing, he asks the burning question: "He, you said you were impotent!" "That's what you people say." The handsome Alpha, nearly 1.9 meters tall, leans against the doorframe, flexes his chest covered in bite marks, and smiles. "I usually call it Platonic love." #What a mess. So you were a Platonist all along? I thought you just couldn't perform! A scheming, ambitious former pirate king gong who lies without batting an eye X a beautiful, kindhearted, vindictive, shameless military doctor uke. Both are strong, both are virgins, and they're lovers who always seem to be at odds. Alpha/Beta romance. In this version, Betas can smell pheromones but don't react to them. Fictional society. Don't nitpick or compare it to real life. Blurb screenshotted on 2026-02-07. Theme: Justice and kindness.
