[One Piece] Let's Go Pirate-Hunting on the High Seas

As the daughter of Garp the Hero, Doris naturally became one of the Marines too.

Her reason for joining was simple: the Marines were at least a steady job, so she wouldn't have to worry about going hungry.

But after joining the Marines, Doris realized that sooner or later this steady job would turn into a broken rice bowl.

With a government as rotten as that, its collapse was only a matter of time. If the government fell, the Marines, its pack of lackeys, would be the first to lose their jobs.

So she turned her sights to pirates instead.

Well, becoming a pirate herself was absolutely out of the question. Pirates had to brave wind and rain, and the Marines would chase them everywhere. She didn't want that kind of life.

Looking at the piles of treasure on pirate ships, she decided to squeeze as much money as she could out of pirates before the Marines fell, so she'd have enough to retire on.

So, on her days off, she often went wandering through various seas.

For instance, if she spotted a ship full of pirates: What? There's treasure aboard? Hand it over!

One day, she arrived at an island in the North Blue and spotted a pirate crew's ship docked on the shore. Vice Admiral Tsuru often pursued them.

She rubbed her chin, sent Vice Admiral Tsuru the news, then personally went ashore to start rounding up pirates.

When she found the leader in the pink feather coat, he was pointing a gun at a man in a black feather coat.

The man looked a little familiar.

Wait, wasn't that her boyfriend, the one she'd exchanged rings with before he left on a secret mission?

So she bundled up the man in the pink feather coat for Vice Admiral Tsuru, then bundled up her boyfriend and the child he'd picked up along the way and took them back to his hometown.

When Garp hurried back to Foosha Village to see his grandsons, he found another man and a little kid at Dadan's place. A question mark slowly appeared in his mind.

Doris pointed at the tall blond man. "Let me introduce you. This is the man I kidnapped."

Rosinante: "?"

Rosinante: "Ah, Vice Admiral Garp. Long time no see."

Garp: "?"

Isn't that Sengoku's son and your adjutant? How did he become the man you kidnapped?

Doris then pointed at the boy in the spotted hat. "Let me introduce you. This is my son."

Law: "?"

Law: "No, I'm not."

Garp: "?"

Where did you pick up a son that big?
